(ps.. its cinco de mayo which while only the third and lesser of the the Mexican independence days has in LA devolved into an excuse for public drunkenness [ similar to Saint Patrick's Day in Boston ;) ] accompanied by banda and mariachis in every neighborhood so what I'm saying is I'll be probably be posting here later tonight)

what the fuck man. who gets mariachi for cinco de mayo. I remember "doing" something for cinco de mayo once. other times we'd grill just because it's the weekend and it's nice out....but we do that a lot in the summer just for no reason. White people made cinco de mayo a drinking day ;P

anyways...you know what that was for. don't play..

Again, as I said, LA does it big, its really just an excuse for partying, and one thing Mexicans in LA know how to do is party yo. Really, folks don't need white folks as an excuse to drink beer ;)

i totally understand. when i had a 9-5 MF office job i'd start drinking thursdays.

I have the complete and utterly opposite problem. I feel like drinking a beer EVERY single day when I get home from work, actually several beers, and over the past 3 months I've been doing it to! Weekends are sleeping in and taking a beer break (well Saturday at least).. so realistically I've been drinking 6 days a week ;)

I don't know about all that, sounds like a personal problem yo, but maybe you should just wait an extra hour before jumping behind the wheel after drinking?

An hour could made enough of a difference for you to sober up enough to realize you might have had to wait an hour and a half?

besaculos, you have to quit drinking, like, NOW. then get therapy or something. but alcohol is definitely NOT for you. you could do like cheeto and just smoke weed. or you could try that kava powder. or you could go rock climbing or something. but fuck, man, booze is your mortal enemy. don't let it kill you.

It seems contradicting, but I totally recommend this approach to people dealing with substance abuse issues of a more destructive nature, herbs is the most benign of abuse issues and can help folks overcome harsher substances.
