I love going through that stuff. Especially stuff that you would used contemporary recording methods, like 4-track tape for example.

Now, I just record w/ wav's on laptops, or field recorders.

Listening to:

The Jesus & Mary Chain - Darklands [MP3 / VBR 219kbps]

Everyneurotic 07.27.2008 10:57 PM

my first recordings with someone else are the best no wave shit ever; weasel walter would be so jealous; and all straight to a boombox.

this shit is like...it's great ideas that needed so more work to them, but we were arrogant pricks and thought we were sonic youth or something.

I used to be really into that album, until I learned that (supposedly) much of their work was about oral sex.
And suddenly everything beautiful about that album shifted into disgust, and I just couldn't enjoy it the same way.
I know it sounds dumb, but I couldn't help but think about it.

I'm popping in the Third Season of the Office, so I'll be hearing Steve Carrell's sweet voice soon enough.

Relistening tot his one, trying to familiarize myself with them So I'll know the songs when I hear them live
Finally got Tha Carter 3 out of my stereo after I had listened to it about three or four times in two days. And no I didn't just get it (Got it the day it came out) but like others here I find it amazing and keep on wanting to listen to it over what I have up in my roatation (my way of making sure nothing gets blown off)

My dad was a HUGE Ratt fan. He had all their albums on cassette. My personal favorite around age 3 was "Lovin' You's A Dirty Job"
