LSD March are of the black clad & sunglasses 24/7 brand of Japanese downer psych ala Keiji Haino / Les Rallizes De Nudes. Definitely worth checking out if you're into that sort of thing, and probably even if you're not.

Oh, yes. I've been playing their stuff (my Sonics LPs) at least once a week since about last November.

Almost love it as much as Yeti. Which reminds me, I still haven't bought that first Ash Ra Tempel effort yet...

Savage Clone 04.24.2007 07:14 PM

I just picked up the SunnO)))/Boris "Altar" triple LP. Holy shit. I had no idea the packaging was going to be this elaborate. The album is pretty great and sees all personnel going into new territory, and the package is an elaborate book-style affair with thick pages and gorgeous clear varnish overlays on everything. Plus, for what it is, this thing is cheap as fuck. I don't know how Southern Lord are breaking even on this. The Aaron Horkey cover art is incredible as well, as his stuff always is.

I also picked up "The Blind Wound" by Leviathan, but I haven't given it a spin yet.

!@#$%! 04.24.2007 07:32 PM

elaborate packaging-- is that a fad? joanna newsom's y's surprised me by including a what's almost a little book between the sleeves. looks like an old book of fairytales.

probably by overcharging the international orders, although i have to admit it's cheaper than they could have gone (the whitebox was also relatively cheap)...maybe their getting a cut from the inoxia edition.

i myself am waiting for that leviathan album to arrive.

I got the same one as you have for €30. Very cheap.
A friend of mine bought one of the Japanese limited edition versions for €120.
It comes in a box containing the same book, extra track (black sheep... I think),
a piece of cloth with a silkscreen print on it and some other goodies. Amazing!

Savage Clone 04.27.2007 05:09 PM

I am taking care of my friend's dog for the week; he is my old boss from the record store and brought me a few things from my massive hold bin as a token of his gratitude. Just "what was in the front," according to him:

LPs:
Neu! 75 (reissue)
Henry Cow - Legend (Japanese pressing)
Pyrolator - Ausland
Paris, Texas soundtrack
V/A - Perpetual State Of Oracular Dream (great comp w/ Asmus Tietchens, Crash Worship, Cranioclast, Mimir and more)
Judy Collins - Third (believe it or not, her first few records are really good despite what happened later)

10":
Biota - Awry

7":
Kraftwerk - Tour De France UK press
Fred Frith - Dancing In The Street b/w What a Dilemma
