I can make you one, if you ask politely..

Savage Clone 03.05.2008 10:41 AM

I think "asking politely" for him translates to "GIMME. GIMME NOW! THX!"

floatingslowly 03.05.2008 10:42 AM

I wouldn't know what to ask for. most avatars last me a week before I get bored of it...

I like the way yr's have the background deleted.....that's something that I'm not technically able to do.

random google image will just have to work. my current avatar was found by searching "spock's eyebrows". good times.

I opened for a band called Spock's Beard once.
I still shudder.
The horrors that happen when "session guys" form their own band.
I believe there was not only a bass solo, but TWO drum solos during that seemingly-eternal 90 minutes.

You don't have any pictures of you with your purple hair do you? If so I would love to see ;)

Nope I don't, this was way back in the 'grunge era' in the early 90s, I didn't have a camera and never took any photos, I remember going to Rome around that time, and I'm not sure if I took any photos even then. I used to really hate cameras, it's only recently that I have actually started taking photos of anything, let alone myself. Oh and I was living in Croatia which was still in the end stages of war at the time, hardly anyone took photos, probably cause of the cost of developing the photos.
It's probably a shame I don't have any photos to show you though, after all I had matching purple doc boots too :D

drrrtyboots 03.05.2008 03:18 PM

I've got a tambourine photo too (sort of):

I don't play that instrument either.

Or that one. Except for keyboard prog Blondie covers.

The fact that three people have heard this awful band (I've a feeling they may have been dull enough for me to have entirely forgotten a live show but leave their name in my head...) is a testament to how shit bands are far more pervasive than good ones (cf Wolf Eyes/ Prurient).

Everyneurotic 03.05.2008 07:37 PM

thankfully, i didn't get to see them live, i just heard a song of theirs once.

a really, really long song.

I could never really like noise, I tried to for a while, but just couldn't. I prefer pop, and most of the music I like is pretty much mainstream stuff.

Everyneurotic 03.05.2008 08:12 PM

i feel lucky i can enjoy totally harsh shit and then listen to the most saccharine pop in the world, like hannah montana, which in itself is probably closer to noise than wolf eyes.

✌➬ 03.05.2008 08:15 PM

That is why I never really go to the Music section, because most of those artist I won't like. Don't get me wrong I can still listen to some noise, but it has to be structured some way. Sort of like how Sonic Youth does it.

Everyneurotic 03.05.2008 08:20 PM

trust me, hardly anybody here really likes noise.

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 03.05.2008 08:27 PM

haha, true.
And I can relate to your last post.

That's cool that's you've started taking more pictures. Pictures are awesome, I love the memories.

I used to do mine like that all the time, but now I do the over the whole head thing. I don't do the whole scarf on the head tied at the side thing though.

Nice pics. You're good looking, have a great fashion style, and looks like you can play those instruments. You have everything going for you!

I really wish I could pull off a bandana on the head. A band just looks plain bad on me and over the head I look like I suffered chemotherapy and am trying to hide it. So I just put one around my neck, leg, arm, or wrist
