Last EP: The Paranoid Style--Underworld USA CD
Last full length album: Tyvek--Origin Of What CD

I bought the latter from main Tyvek guy Kevin Boyer. Protomartyr (of which Boyer was a member at one time) gets all the hype, but when it comes to punk from Detroit, I prefer Tyvek.

Wait — apparently there is a Mariana Timony that's not Mary Timony? Not that her real name is necessarily Mariana Timony. I mean, I'm "Manimal" on Bandcamp...

Haven't bought so many albums recently, so I decided to make up for it, and purchased the following.
Olafur Arnalds & Nils Frahm - Collaborative Works
Black-Eyed Snakes - Seven Horses
Jesu / Sun Kil Moon - Jesu / Sun Kil Moon
Facs - Negative Houses
Lubomyr Melnyk - Rivers And Streams

I actually bought a few more, but can't remember what they were ....

.... because the confirmation mail ended up in my SPAM folder. So these were all ordered from the subrosa label:

subsonic 6: lou barlow / rudy trouvé
charlemagne palestine + rhys chatham - Youuu + Mee = Weee (3CD)
winter family - Red Sugar
winter family - s/t
eric thielemans - EARR plays a Snare is a Bell
Oiseaux-Tempête - TARAB (2LP)

anyone familiar with Winter Family? Me neither, but the samples I tried sounded cool, some even reminded me of Low's Organ Reframed performance.
Eric Thielemans is a Belgian drummer, known by me for his work with e.g. Rudy Trouve (in Tape Cuts Tape) and Chantal Acda. Rudy Trouve was guitarist on the first dEUS album.

I believe it was Doves' The Last Broadcast. Good album! Doves always seemed to "fly" under the radar. Quotes added to emphasize the pun.

I bought Master of Puppets by Metallica. Not my favourite, but still has some very solid tunes.

SonicSleuth 09.26.2018 10:32 PM

Low - Double Negatiive - LP
Glenn Branca - The Ascension - LP
This Heat - Deceit - LP
Mount Eerie - (after) - LP
Taiwan Housing Project - Veblen Death Mask - Cassette

The last album I bought was Blur's Parklife, which I got at the local (second-hand?) record store. $10 on CD, definitely worth it. The self-titled album is better, but I already owned it.

Looked for any SY stuff, but all they had was Goo, the one I do own. :(

The excellent solo album by Bert Dockx, called Transit. It's a collection of covers with following tracklist:
  1. Albatross (Fleetwood Mac)
  2. Rake (Townes Van Zandt)
  3. Shadowplay (Joy Division)
  4. Yesterday Is Here (Tom Waits)
  5. I’m On Fire (Bruce Springsteen)
  6. Sinnerman (Nina Simone)
  7. I Shall Be Released (Bob Dylan)
Check it out!

And also:

the first album by Dans Dans was originally self-released in 2012. It's been reprinted this year

But the music is not :)
Think Coltrane, Sun Ra, guitar, bass, drums, freak out and cassette loops played through the guitar, with a special Flemish sauce
