Woke up from a cosy weekend nap and put the second half on. It's inevitable that Liverpool will win this game.

so glad you were right for once :D

and that was a great second half, wow

_tunic_ 11.02.2019 08:32 AM

Tonight at midnight (at least in my timezone) it's USA against Netherlands for the world cup under 17 tournament. NL has still 0 points out of 2 matches, USA has 1 out of 2. I doubt that either of them will make it to the next round because of a very poor goal difference.
Other countries in this poule are Senegal and Japan
I'll not watch it though, it's not on TV

!@#$%! 11.02.2019 11:58 AM

wow dat mane header

_tunic_ 11.02.2019 12:58 PM

I wonder how long Solskjær will be allowed to stay as coach for ManU. They are at 10th place now with 13 points. Jaap Stam left Feyenoord earlier this week, they're 12th with 14 points and 11 matches played in both competitions. But that was after a 4-0 loss against Ajax their arch enemies.
Good old Advocaat replaced him, with John De Wolf as one of his assistants. Would be cool if ManU could talk Van Gaal out of his retirement

h8kurdt 11.02.2019 04:17 PM

Given the way they treated him he'd be mad to go back there.

h8kurdt 11.06.2019 05:41 AM

Anyone watch the Chelsea/Ajax game last night? A totally bonkers 4-4 game.

!@#$%! 11.06.2019 06:55 AM

^^ i had no idea there even was one

so what happened?

(and how is lampard doing?)

h8kurdt 11.06.2019 07:08 AM

Chelsea were losing 4-1 that included two own goals. Chelsea pulled it back to 4-2 and then chaos ensued where Ajax went down to 9 men. After that Chelsea scored a penalty and then a fourth goal to equalise. What was interesting was that Ajax pretty much refused to settle for a draw a still pressed pretty high!

Lampard to give him his due is doing really good. Especially seeing as he's having to relying on a lot of younger players due to the transfer ban. Pulisic seems to have come good the last couple of weeks too which is what Lampard said would happen. Too many people were expecting immediate goals from Pulisic but Lampard took his time with him. Kudos to Lampard.

!@#$%! 11.06.2019 07:14 AM

wow that does sound insane. thanks!

and nice to hear about lampard—and pulisic, who’s still a mere child

transfer bans??

eta: oh! https://www.espn.com/soccer/blog/mar...hment-play-out

Blimey, I didn't see it either. Dutch press and analysts are blaming the referee and the VAR.

!@#$%! 11.06.2019 09:23 AM

so did someone bribe or threaten the ref?

h8kurdt 11.06.2019 09:47 AM

Nah, both players were on yellows. One went for a bad tackle, the other for incessantly arguing with the ref.

!@#$%! 11.06.2019 09:48 AM

oh i see. “blame VAR, for showing the evidence!” :D

sorry for ajax losing such advantage. i would have liked to see those goals.

h8kurdt 11.06.2019 09:54 AM

Not sure if you'll be able to see this, however, if you have VPN then course you will!

_tunic_ 11.06.2019 10:13 AM

Was the second for arguing? What I read was that it was for hands and that the ball did touch his arm but accidentally. He did not move his arm towards the ball.

Oh well maybe he kept on arguing that it wasn't a handsball

h8kurdt 11.06.2019 10:46 AM

Actually you may be right. He got it seemingly an age after the handball.

!@#$%! 11.06.2019 11:09 AM

just watched highlights. don’t have vpn (don’t trust them lol) but i found this:

https://youtu.be/zZVr-2MuwWc

that handball and pen was bullshit! in my eyes anyway

his arms were low he turned away what else can he do. amputate?

then he gets thrown out for arguing that it wasn’t?

gaaaah....

h8kurdt 11.09.2019 01:31 PM

Eesh, what's happening to West Ham? Everton got the much needed win today thankfully.

In bundesliga news, Lewandowski has scored in every league and champions league game this season. Yet they're not too of the league!

demonrail666 11.09.2019 08:33 PM

West Ham look to be in free fall again.

No idea what the answer is but fans can't blame the board anymore, or troublemakers in the dressing room. This is Pellegrini's mess and he needs to fix it, quick.

!@#$%! 11.09.2019 09:32 PM

wow i lost track of bundesliga lately

caught sight of arsenal’s defeat this morning though (it’s mornings here)

and now looking forward to liverpool man city...

YIKES!

what’s wrong with jamón west? besides losing i mean. why is it happening?

demonrail666 11.10.2019 05:24 AM

Seems like they've lost all intensity since the 1st international break. They were doing ok before that. Now that we're going into the next one Pellegrini will hopefully sort it out. I still believe they have the individual players capable of getting them to an upper mid-table finish so I'm not panicking yet, but things definitely need to improve when they come back or Pellegrini could see himself under real pressure. First game back is against Spurs. Stupid to insist on a win there (despite them having their own problems right now) but an improved performance is an absolute must.

h8kurdt 11.10.2019 05:30 AM

Having Roberto replace the injured Fabianski can't be helping?

You could replace Pellegrini for Silva and it's the same situation at Everton. Oh woe.

In other news, local team Preston North End seem to be setting themselves up for their first ever promotion to the Premier League. Still a way to go but they're playing great right now.

Yeah, Everton do seem to be improving slightly but neither team are the sum of their parts right now and with weird/frustrating decisions from both managers.

!@#$%! 11.10.2019 12:19 PM

what a nice game so far.

nice, yes—but the goals! fucking glorious

demonrail666 11.10.2019 12:49 PM

Liverpool well deserve their lead but can't understand why Man C never got that penalty.

h8kurdt 11.10.2019 01:17 PM

*mutters under breath*

!@#$%! 11.10.2019 01:31 PM

only disappointed that it wasn’t a 4-0 :D

choc e-Claire 11.19.2019 06:09 PM

Interesting results afoot in the Asian football sphere, with Turkmenistan currently on top of their World Cup qualifying group. It's not slouch opposition either, they've played both of the Koreas and Lebanon.

Unfortunately I don't think they'll be able to hold on - they've played Sri Lanka twice, which is basically two guaranteed wins; and their other win was in Ashgabat over North Korea, who don't travel very well. If they can get a win at home against Lebanon, then we'll be talking.

(Australia's doing pretty well too [four wins from four games, including our first ever away win in Jordan], but it's not fun to talk about my own country when I can be chatting about the mighty Karakum Warriors.)

demonrail666 11.19.2019 06:12 PM

Poch sacked from Spurs!

Surprised even though it was sort of looming

and the name apparently in the frame to replace him ...?

choc e-Claire 11.19.2019 06:15 PM

Saw it on Twitter, apparently Klopp is now the longest-serving top-six manager. Not sure what that means for football, but...

Whether Jose is the right man to replace him is another matter. Either way the club's now announced his appointment so it's a done deal

h8kurdt 11.20.2019 04:00 AM

He can't be underestimated as a manager. Remember when we laughed when he said that his greatest achievement was finishing in 2nd place in the league and winning the Europa league? Now we look at it and say "fucking hell...he was right. That was an impressive achievement".

Three year contract and I'm certain he'll win them a trophy by the end of that.

demonrail666 11.20.2019 04:26 PM

I just think Levy and Jose represent the mother of all owner-manager mismatches; Jose with his notoriously huge budget demands; Levy with his notoriously tight purse strings. I think there's still a place for Jose in football, I just don't think it's at Spurs. He's always been linked with a move to PSG and he's apparently had his eye on Bayern for a while. Either of those make perfect sense. But Spurs just aren't that kind of club - or more specifically Levy just isn't that kind of owner.
