ladies and gentleman, in one 517mb RAR, I present: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6G80C661 6 albums and many many hours of Iancu Dumitrescu! You'll get: A Priori, 5 Implosions, Mythos, Astree Lointaine, Holzwege, Galaxy, Movemur Et Sumus, Reliefs, Memoriels, Basoreliefs, Meteors and Pulsars, Ouranos, Gnossis, Orion, Swarms, Labyrinthe, Pierres Sacrees, Harryphones, and Grand Ourse in this lovingly-assembled collection. It's a shame that in his home-country nobody heard of him and his albums are impossible to find. |

OMG!!! OMG!!! thanks for this ive wanted to get some old beck for aaaages i loved mellow gold and odelay but since those albums hes been pretty boring imo.. i miss that craziness from those records so i just hope this is something similar |
This Beck album is more enjoyable than anything else I've ever heard. I know that's the ubiquitous indie thing to say, but... well, he doesn't really work as a popstar for me.

Bippp - French Synth Wave 1979-85
The fairly recent resurgence of interest in French electronic music has no doubt given a massive boost to the attention surrounding the US release of BIPPP: French Synth Wave 1979-1985. As Justice receive push-after-massive-PR-push in the US, and Daft Punk, some three years after receiving an indie-cred amplifying namedrop from LCD Soundsystem, now find themselves in a second heyday and performing alongside Kanye West, musical esotericists dig to unearth the obscure origins of the phenomenon. BIPPP, which got its release in France a little over a year ago, features 14 tracks gleaned from post-punk era French 7"'s, some previously compiled, some not. A brief, blurb on the compilation’s jacket gives an outline of the birth of the French wave of minimal electro-pop, a scene and style that followed the same trajectory of plenty other independent music scenes that existed at the time throughout Europe. In the wake of the breakup of premiere (and unfortunately named) Parisian punk band The Stinky Toys, member Denis Quillard, a.k.a. Jacno, and Debbie Harry-esque singer Elli Medeiros formed Elli et Jacno. BIPPP’s liner-notes ascribe the rise of French minimal synth-pop exclusively to this band’s instrumental, “Rectangle.” The track, which brims with starry-eyed analogue romance and Kraftwerk worship, mysteriously makes no appearance on BIPPP. Even without the seminal track referred to in the sparse liner notes, the tracks on BIPPP show France as having been home to an icy synth-obsession well in tune with the then emergent Mute Records sound (which was itself, debatably, an adaptation of the even earlier punk-meets-Kraftwerk DIY ethos of Sheffield bands like The Human League). Covering a six-year span (albeit with no specific indication of when individual tracks were made) in which the guitar was eschewed for the synthesizer, BIPPP paints a picture of a scene that didn’t give into the maximalist production flourishes that made a few excellent U.K. electro-pop bands comparatively embarrassing by the mid-‘80s. Every track on BIPPP is dated, in a good way, firmly in the shadow of The Normal and Fad Gadget. The songs that comprise BIPPP, though, have the same downsides as more identifiable tracks of international minimal-wave from the era. Like Belgian bands 1000 Ohms and Neon Judgment (less obscure only because they’ve ended up on New Wave compilations that, as if existing in a black hole of copyright law, also feature hits by major label acts), the tracks on BIPPP tend to be amazingly catchy, but require some suspension of disbelief. The drama piled on in the vocal grunts of the first track, A Trois Dans Les WC’s “Contagion” sounds out-of-place against the backdrop of the track’s synthesized austerity. Les Visiteurs Du Soir’s “Je T’ecris D’un Pays” skews too far in the other direction, the lackadaisical vocal delivery on the track is almost frustratingly affected. But the weird vocals and obvious amateurish tint of the songwriting found in a lot of European minimal synth is also part of its charm, and that’s definitely the case on BIPPP. The U.K. may have had Vince Clarke making perfect pop tunes, but BIPPP exemplifies that elsewhere in Europe, the synth-sounds remained more slapdash and stripped down. Vox Dei’s “Terroriste” takes a melody familiar from Adam Ant’s “Here Comes the Grump” and squeezes it inexplicably through a couple of key changes before the vocals kick in. Act’s “Ping Pong” chimes frenetically, onomatopoetically bouncing back and forth, building as though it’s heading towards austere dance-floor catharsis, and instead stumbles through a mal-tuned guitar bridge. Whether in Ruth’s slow-moving “Polaroid/Roman/Photo,” which takes its cues from Kraftwerk’s “The Model,” the almost ready-to-pogo “Touche Pas Mon Sexe” by The Comix, or the Units-like “Partie 1” by TGV, the tracks on BIPPP are eminently quirky, yet always deadpan. Without much guidance from the liner notes, it’s hard to tell where each track on BIPPP falls in the canon of French dance music. However, tracks like “Aller Simple” by Vitor Hublot provide some clue. The song’s vocals are distinctly reminiscent of the kind of stylish, tweeness heard from French ye-ye singers in the ’60s. Sterile, analogue moods and oddball songwriting alongside this kind of classic Gallic pop sentiment are the crux of BIPPP. The compilation shows French minimal wave as a post-punk phenomenon that, like its U.K. and U.S. counterparts, was at one point poised to become the new pop music. Six Organs Of Admittance / Azul
Limited to 800 copies Japan-only split LP between Ben Chasny’s Six Organs Of Admittance and Japanese underground group Azul, on the sainted PSF imprint. One massively extended devotional psych track from Chasny that segues from an almost Popol Vuh-style build-up into a dark downer ballad, easily one of his most ambitious creations in years. (And is that a burst of the fuzz guitar from The Open Mind’s “Magic Potion” near the end there?). Flip features five tracks from Azul who play a gorgeous form of acid folk that factors elements of South American psych styles ala Traffic Sound and Satwa into the mix, using hand-drums, F/X, massed vocals, violin, steel guitar, tambura, flute and kazoo. Beautiful full colour sleeves with obi strip. Very limited and like all the rare PSF vinyl editions, sure to be a monster in years to come. volcanic tongue download |

I bought that from a local shop the other day, mainly because I was amazed they'd actually have a PSF record. Usually I only check on the second hand DVDs there because of the piles and piles of shit in the music section. Six Organs side is very good, Azul side is alright. |
Hi.
Can I'm new on here. Can I make a request for the ":20 minute workout - the original music" album Thank you so much in advance, Chris |
Kluster & Friends 1969-1973 - 6xLP Boxset
Kluster and Friends - 1969-1973 6xLP Boxset Qbico Records (Italy 2009) Wow, a seriously amazing unearthed holy grail of early germany experimental proto-industrial/noise... 6 Lps of early Kluster shows pre and post Rodelius and Mobius. Conrad Schnitzler unearthed all these live recordings as a gift to Qbico Records for their supposed final release by the label. And what a gift it is! As far as we know many online sellers have some copies still available. I seriously recommend if you love Kluster to pick this before its gone and selling on ebay for much more than the retail price. All the Lp's in the box are in Black Sleeves with no information on the Black Labels. I've titled the Lp's by the unique name on the hub of each Lp. (ASA, Beta, CVS, DAV, EX, & Fungi!) The audio fidelity of these live recordings is really incredible. Especially when you consider what time period these shows where recorded! http://fm-shades.blogspot.com/ |

This has been floating around the internet for a while. Anyways,
just recently discovered it. It's great Nasmak Plus Instruments/Instruments Plus Nasmak (LP, Plurex, 1980) One of those albums I sadly missed when it came out, although I had other stuff by Nasmak in those days, like the earlier posted '4Our Clicks'. Nasmak started as Nasmaak, a band with lots of dressing up, and with a leading role for Truus de Groot. But sheer experimentation took over when they release Nasmak Plus Instruments, their first LP. The a-side shows them in conventional line up, whereas the b-side is more about Truus and her crackle box. She will soon leave the group to work with Plus Instruments (their two albums can be found on other blogs). I just got a solo tape from her, which I'll post next week. This LP was John Peel's favorite continental record back then, and Nasmak was the first Dutch band to do a Peel Session. download |
Get out the lava lamp, love beads and granny glasses! This classic 1967 album was recorded in NYC at the height of the Flower Power Movement. It features David Dalton and Victoria Sackville on vocals and many other musicians of the day in a free-for-all bun. Recorded during the height of the Flower Power Movement, classic 1967 free form album that features lots of sitars, chimes, harpsichord and other far out sounds. Even includes notes on how to spice up your parties using TV's, kaleidoscopes, and other "natural things" Crazed and hilarious acid exploitation album that goes far out enough to become genuinely psychy, like a second tier Deep. One part is cheesy garage psych including the classic "Play your game", the other is 'meditation' featuring strange fairytales, Hare Krishna chanting, and more. The short spoken segment on Pebbles vol 3 that's puzzled many comes from this album. A Canadian mono release exists (review by Andersson Christer - amazon.com) http://lix.in/-5f7f3d password: xara |
hallelujahs - niku wo kuraite chikai wo tateyo http://www.mediafire.com/?5timtgmeggt Brilliant 80s Japanese psych. Hugely recommended. |
RIDE: 'Like a Snowflake' MP3
Kudos to Tsuru for tracking this down for me. This 1991 Christmas single "Like a Snowflake" is probably one of the most sought after RIDE singles in existence. It was originally released as a 7" single at a hometown gig and, much later, could be seen floating around record swaps at an overpriced amount. Listening to it now it sounds somewhat dated and flat -- at least it does vocally -- compared to its amazing template "Like a Daydream". That track certainly holds up. Regardless, it's nice to have this version. |||RIDE: "Like a Snowflake" MP3||| It can be found on www.surfingonsteam.blogspot.com |
