Guitar Wolf
Lee Ranaldo probably too.
Lee'll play la Maroquinerie, one of the warmest venues in Paris, with a very good light man

Sure, I'll upload it to dime for you...

Thanks Stu. I'll be in touch later. Cafe OTO again this evening. Tom's going as well. We wondered about standing at opposite ends of the room and trying for a surround sound mix!

damnit i want a nice digital recorder, too broke to buy one right now.

If you have an Iphone, the Fire App is a very good option to make a decent recording in lossless format (WAV), so maybe consider giving it a try if you can't invest in a recorder at the moment.

The Wedding Present are playing in Stowmarket in May so I'll definitely be there... no one ever comes to Stowmarket!

Cool, I'll probably do that. I was trying to find such an app before, but gave up after a while. I'd just been using the dinky voice memo app, which sucks: quiet shows okay but muddy, loud shows no chance. I gave up even trying after a while. I'll give Fire 2 a try, hopefully have something cool to share! Have you used this app before? I read some reviews which overall made it sound really good, but I think in one or two places they mentioned long recording times being a problem, though I'm not sure I understood correctly.

Might go see my friends The Bad Trips with new rhythm section at Art City (semi-outdoor sculpture cooperative/sometimes weird rock venue) in Ventura, CA on the 21st, if homework schedule permits. If this Fire App thing works out hopefully I will convince some of you to buy their 2 lps. Here's some live and studio tracks for you to peruse (probably posted these before):

Mortte Jousimo 04.12.2012 01:27 AM

I just heard John Cale is coming to Finland in May, but when I looked it into internet that gig was cancelled because he´s album release has gone into the future. Hope he will come in autumn! And damn, the Fishbone gig also cancelled!

EVOLghost 04.13.2012 08:07 PM

Yep, almost ready to head off to see Disappears

it was a complete clusterfuck. the loudest thing i've ever encountered.

heavenly music.

and one thing made me smile as well .. I've seen Merzbow use the same Utopia Synth as i use, as one of his sound sources. it's that little green box visible in this picture:

I saw Thee Oh Sees yesterday and would recommend it to everyone.
They're spot on from beginning to end, and they play quite perfectly (what a drummer...).

EVOLghost 06.07.2012 07:43 AM

^ I think they're playing Pitchfork this year...which I do plan on attending.

But yeh...this Sunday is Radiohead.
