If you have an Iphone, the Fire App is a very good option to make a decent recording in lossless format (WAV), so maybe consider giving it a try if you can't invest in a recorder at the moment.

Cool, I'll probably do that. I was trying to find such an app before, but gave up after a while. I'd just been using the dinky voice memo app, which sucks: quiet shows okay but muddy, loud shows no chance. I gave up even trying after a while. I'll give Fire 2 a try, hopefully have something cool to share! Have you used this app before? I read some reviews which overall made it sound really good, but I think in one or two places they mentioned long recording times being a problem, though I'm not sure I understood correctly.


Might go see my friends The Bad Trips with new rhythm section at Art City (semi-outdoor sculpture cooperative/sometimes weird rock venue) in Ventura, CA on the 21st, if homework schedule permits. I saw Thee Oh Sees yesterday and would recommend it to everyone.
They're spot on from beginning to end, and they play quite perfectly (what a drummer...).
