I like Pookie actually. I'm doubting about the rest though. Tossers!

Iain 09.24.2006 04:24 AM

Good thread.

Stella is rubbish.

atari 2600 09.24.2006 04:52 AM

Well at least Pookie did the mixed tape threads as he scrambled for some form of legitimacy.

porkmarras is a cool cat, but he's gone off the deep end yet again.

Cantankerous is not as bad as she seems, but she comes off like a dumb and hateful bitch most of the time.

I'm actually trying to stay out of Toilet & Bowels' way lately, so I'm fucking up here, but he is bad news and has very few redeeming elements to his personality other than above average intelligence.

Not my problem. Frankly, I couldn't give a flying hoot.

atari 2600 09.24.2006 05:03 AM

I figured I'd "wind them up" a bit.

I know you remember when porkmarras decided to diss Picasso and then started quoting Christian Bale's Batman:"I like to rattle the cages."

That might have been his lowest ebb yet, but I'm sure we'll see worse eventually.

jon boy 09.24.2006 05:05 AM

americans are very easy to annoy. almost too easy it would seem.

stella=rubbish.

atari 2600 09.24.2006 05:07 AM

Frank Stella?

some beer called "stella," no doubt.

Homer: I can't fake an interest in this, and I'm an expert at faking an interest in your kooky projects.

Ah, it's a known fact Aussies can drink most, if not all, countries under the table. We're a bunch of drunken convicts.

Guinness is ghastly. It's just a terrible beverage.

sonicl 09.24.2006 05:10 AM

I doubt that my opinion is going to count for much, but having met both Porkmarras and Pookie I can vouch for them both as super guys. No-one should write them off just because of a dislike of their posting styles.

And I find Stella far too fizzy. I'm usually an ale drinker, but I've developed a fondness for San Miguel lately.

Norma J 09.24.2006 05:11 AM

Atari 2600, nice avatar by the way.

guinness is very nice.

as far as australians drinking, you probably can but is that something to be proud of? not every fun night can be measured on how drunk you get.

atari 2600 09.24.2006 05:16 AM

As a nationality, it's Germans that can probably drink the most.
Many German beers are like malt liquor-laden syrup. EKU 28, one of the county's oldest brews, is 14% alcohol! I spent my twenties in Athens, Ga which is rumored to have the highest alcohol consumption rate per capita of any place on Earth except for a few places in Germany.

But yeah, Australia does have the "beer with breakfast, beer with lunch, & beer with dinner" stereotype.

Norma J 09.24.2006 05:17 AM

Well it matters if you have a few bevvies and you're under the table and I'm not. Means you got TOO drunk, whilst I did not because I can handle it better than yourself. Logical anyway.

jon boy 09.24.2006 05:20 AM

it is true that a LOT of beer is drunk here in germany. with so much unenployment a lot of people simply stand in the street and drink which is a very sad sight. its so cheap to do though and you get a proper bottle of beer too not some god awful can of piss. it costs about 35p for one and if you take the botles back to the store they give you 5p back for every bottle! see what i am saying?

Norma J 09.24.2006 05:21 AM

Well I'm of German descent AND I'm Australian. That makes me fucking invincible!

Tokolosh 09.24.2006 05:22 AM

Check out these arms.^ I'd like to do the octoberfest sometime.

jon boy 09.24.2006 05:27 AM

last night i spent under 10euoros and got pretty drunk which is quite a thing i can tell you.

IntoTheGroovey 09.24.2006 05:30 AM

You'd win the prize for that.

I wouldn't agree on this one, atari. Ever heard of countries like Russia, Ukraine, or ...erm...Slovakia?

atari 2600 09.24.2006 07:35 AM

Yeah, they are known as heavy drinkers as well, _slavo_, you're right. When it comes to beer though, which was what was tangentially being discussed in the thread (since the topic is er ah please excuse me...bullocks), the Germans will always take the infamous prize as the most brew-soused.

I see that resident lamer porkmarras is still relying on the same old lame jokes & his same very lame overinflated sense of self is still insistently present.
porkmarras, just because the same group of high school kids & Brit contemporaries with bad attitudes reply to your threads over & over doesn't mean that intelligent readers appreciate your megalomaniacal leanings, you fucking burn-out. For instance, an intelligent adult like Tokolosh has clearly expressed that he finds you tiresome as well. But I guess none of that matters to you (as long as you can corral the lowest common denominator here), now does it? Your topics usually rapidly degenerate into a message-based version of a chatroom, and what's worse is that it's the most banal & wholly predictable chat imaginable from what I've tried to read. Your "topics" offer the casual user surfing for interesting links nothing and serve to only annoy the more-involved discerning reader. Your threads are often just chaos-pregnant feedback loops of self-referential homage to your own malaise, completely recycled from older posts, or a hackneyed mockery of other topics of the day. I suppose, in the end analysis, that it's your own prerogative to continue to be in denial and keep pretending that you have intelligent readers, but I, for one, can't be bothered to actually read any of these numerous porkmarras-authored threads that pop-up every single fucking day. Instead, I write my protests to hopefully get you to embrace reason because I can remember when you actually seemed very cool; of course, that was before you started behaving like a stereotypical miserable fag. Happy posting, dick. I'd be very surprised to see any reply to this post that demonstrates that you can muster much more than a smarmy sentence or two, and that should tell you something, but it won't.
----
this topic thread:
I like winding up americans
the British-to-American translation:
I like being a total nuisance because I hate myself, I hate life, and I want everyone to be as miserable as I am.

You can get these two on tap in the UK in many places these days. Staropramen for definite and probably budvar as well.

That's quite nice. If you see a beer called "Zlaty Bazant" somewhere, give it a try. It's our national top favourite :)

Iain 09.24.2006 08:06 AM

Ah, haven't seen that one before. Certainly not in pubs. A shop around the corner from me has a large selection of beers from around the world....if you can get it anywhere around here it'll be there. I'm not a big fan of lager at all really though. I have had a few bottles of this recently and enjoyed it greatly:

_slavo_ 09.24.2006 08:08 AM

Look for this bottle then.

static-harmony 09.24.2006 11:20 AM

See what happenes when you go out, you miss a good conversation about beer.

atari 2600 09.24.2006 11:23 AM

If you don't mind, I'm going to start referring to you as
"Swiss static-harmony."

Пятхъдесят Шест is another notable rather milquetoast poster in the same vein that I still have an affection for despite his lack of assertiveness and perpetual avoidance of any controversy.

static-harmony 09.24.2006 11:25 AM

why "Swiss"?

atari 2600 09.24.2006 11:28 AM

They're historically neutral, like you are.

static-harmony 09.24.2006 11:29 AM

I see, and I am neutral? damn now I need to start a fight with someone.
Before they call me pussy.

atari 2600 09.24.2006 11:30 AM

No you don't. In this case, I'm just being an ass.

static-harmony 09.24.2006 11:31 AM

I need to get drunk I've never been drunk.

You really aren't any good at being an ass now are ya?

atari 2600 09.24.2006 11:32 AM

But I am good at being self-effacing and being an asshole at the same time.

It's just not really in my nature to be a bona fide asshole.

We can all learn a thing or two regarding staying neutral.

Well, at least I know I can.

Alcohol sucks; I'm drunk right now.
