well, not really.
so wait louder, these are like legit mixes? Not just a playlist but I mean like you blended them etc? If so I'll check them out.
oh no heh, just playlists i compiled in a few mins.
oh oh oh was confused cuz you mentioned DJ'ing.
yeah, figured so. anyway as i've said before, Life Is Good is my most anticipated album in a long time. seems like it's gonna be a lot more introspective than his last few projects, plus most of it is produced by No I.D. and he and Nas make such a great combo.
they absolutely do. "Success"... 8O
listened to pretty much MF Doom's whole discography today.
Born Like This was amazing if you ask me.
I thought Born Like This was excellent. Not sure if I'd say 'amazing' but it was one of my favorite albums that year. 'Fucking awesome' might be a better description.
I just miss the days of Doom when he'd drop 3 albums a year haha. |
Jay, Nas, DOOM, Ghost. sometimes the order changes, but those are always my favs.

American Gangster might be Jay's best project ever, period (though my fav Jay songs happen to be from other albums).
i'm just always scared to admit. |
American Gangster has to be my fav Jay album. Yeah.
Anyway, back on my Ghostface kick. |

lol at old men's rap
there's nothing more pathetic than delusional snooties who think they listen to "real raps", while in reality it's just basic flows and lyrics over dusty, outdated beats. see: most 80's hip-hop. |
you're really going to discount an entire decade of hip hop just like that huh
sorry, had a bad day
yo louder I just finished reading this:
^you need to read this man. It's so awesome. |
Um, pardon me, but I believe there was meant to be a third mix, giving "exposure to lesser known artists?"
GET GOING. |
Quote:
Dude, just blaze? That's a damn good list, but why the fuck are you including that reality show guest appearance making asshole? Being poppy and accessible is fine (no beef with Timbalamd for example) but why give Premier an H.M. and exclude EL-P for that bitchass mufuh? |

how's the MA DOOM? Quote:

you can't knock out his work on the Blueprint, December 4th, PSA, Why You Hate the Game, Ground Zero, The Champ, Touch the Sky, Lord Knows, etc. he's so consistent. Preemo, on the other hand, could use some diversity. El-P is that dude. maybe one day he'll be in my top 10. |
MA DOOM is good... though yoou've heard all the beats before. It's not so much "produced by Doom" as it is "Ace picked a bunch of tracks from the Special Herbs series and rapped over them." Like the John Robinson album. But that said, Ace is on fire. He's really top of his game on there.
louder, did you pick up Life Is Good already? I was going to and then grabbed MA DOOM cuz I didn't know it came out this week. Anyway, LIFE is getting crazy good reviews. I'm def excited to hear that shit.
yeah, the deluxe edition ofc. it's incredible. better than Stillmatic and God's Son. last three tracks are my fav. Bye Baby is co-produced by 40 - excellent!
"i might kill you, but DO I GOT LOVE FOR YOU??" |
louder, please get MA DOOM, it's really growing on me. At first I was turned off by it being beats I've been listening to for a decade or so. But y'know what? The beat selection is great. The album feels like an album rather than a mixtpae, with a theme. And truth, Ace really writes to these beats. Shit feels so legit you really gotta hear it. My fav Ace album since INC for real.
New Flesh For Old anyone? Caught two of their videos on late night TV a couples summers ago. My mind was blown.

wow, the new Ross album is really wack. wtf happened.
yo louder, what's coming up that you think will be good? I need some newer stuff.
Dedication 4 and JJ DOOM.
then in September we're finally going to get Cruel Summer. Act 2's tracklist has leaked. so whenever it comes out, i expect it to be nothing less than a 10/10. other albums i'm anticipating are MadGibbs, new FlyLo, the xx. |
I'm ecstatic about JJDOOM.
