Haha it's kind of hard to explain.

Every time I listen to Chinese Takeaway by the Adicts there's this sound at like 1:59 (they repeat it after too) and I ALWAYS think it's my mom calling my name.
Then in Coral Fang by the Distillers there's this scream every once in a while in the background and I always think it's my mom getting scared hahah.

when this thread (great topic by the way!) first came up i thought "yeah, i've had that pretty often!" but i couldn't think of any examples at the time and i figured they'd come up later... but now the thread is back and again i can't think of any examples! :mad:

someone bump this thing please in a couple of months.

Yeah exactly .
theres a whole album but minutely more specifically a song on the album where i swear someone says "what ?" and then i take off my headphones and look around and ask "what ?" to nothing in particular then feel foolish then frightened to realize it was the music .
i really ...really want to know what album this is ....that im thinking of .

In Radiohead's 'Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors', there's a sound effect that sounds exactly like the Discord notification sound.

One time I was using that on my laptop while listening to the CD, and I ended up double-taking about three times. It's annoying.

Einstürzende Neubauten are repeat offenders in that category.

"Let's Do It A Dada" still makes we want to check the front door of my flat from time to time as it includes buzz sounds that are very similiar to my doorbell. I know it's part of the song, but the sound is so crisp and uncanny, it's unsettling xD

Whilst "Anrufe In Abwesenheit" made me want to check my phone the first time I listened to it.
