I have trouble with them at times, because I think they are quite capable of making extremely boring songs, but they've also made plenty of music that is nothing short of brilliant. I think the previews of Centipede are a little on the boring end shop far, but I'm willing to withhold judgment until I can hear the full album.
I love Feels, Strawberry Jam, about half of MPP, Sung Tongs, and odds and ends from their other releases, but I think they run the risk of growing over confident and bombing on the new album. |
Centipede Hz is really good IMO. the last couple of tracks lovely.

I really like AC, especially Sung Tongs and Strawberry Jam.
New record is pretty good too. |

It just didnt seem as "new" or original as their freak-folk side.. IMO. that shit was lush. but yeah you have to progress i suppose.
Maybe they could do a folktronica thing but not dancey 4/4 beats like MPP. I need to go check out the new stuff... |

OK, Centipede Hz is kill. I did not expect it to be so goddamn good, but it is.

i really like it. really really like it
Father Time and Monkey Riches are my favourites so far but, Moon Jock has really crept up on me. At first i thought it was a bit of a weak start to the album, but really it introduces the album brilliantly. that fanfare is stunning, and the groove is brilliant. love it. |
