Yeah, add me to the list of converts. Liked it quite a bit since release, but spun on vinyl for the first time in a while after reading this thread, and listening to it properly as an album just caused that click.

The horn section at the end up of Lover's Day!!!

Interestingly, Dancing Choose is actually one of my favourite tracks, although the whole thing is incredible.

Funny enough, this just was posted

TV On The Radio may not be the best band out there right now, but I think they make pretty great albums.

Decayed Rhapsody 02.25.2011 06:00 PM

TVoTR are pretty much worthless now.

I will say that they are fantastic musicians and are capable of doing some really out-there radical shit if they really felt like it (at least for their typical audience). Kyp and Dave are really into people like Albert Ayler, Sun Ra, Milford Graves, Pharaoh Sanders.

and this is you, when it first leaked:

Quite the change of heart, listening to just one song after that album...

Uhhhh.... what?

I havent thought about these guys in a long while. Desperate Youth is still pretty cool.

Decayed Rhapsody 02.25.2011 07:22 PM

Yeah, so? They just continued right on down the continuum of suck. I blame Sitek. It warms me that you care about the development of my opinion on this band.

I still spin the first EP.

nicfit 02.26.2011 03:41 AM

It's not that I care, it just seemed (and still seems) pretty weird to me to go from liking them to say they suck and are worthless for the release of one single track, especially coming from someone who said their music is better live.

Because that "continuum of suck" comprises a grand total of 0 releases from the days of Dear Science, unless you count the 3 tracks remixes "Read Science".

Wathever. It's not like I'm "obsessing" over your opinion, I just searched yesterday for tvotr-related threads to put that youtube link in, and your posts are like in each one of them, I'll just shut up.
