Other than Ronald Reagan, we have not had a more patriotic and Pro American President than Donald Trump!

“Trump Will Go Down in History as the Only Politician Condemned for Keeping His Promises.” —Nigel Evans

Can anyone truly say that this is not true?

In my lifetime I have only seen one other president (Ronald Reagan) follow through on the majority of his promises. All other Republican and Democratic presidents danced around the status quo and told the people just what they wanted to hear to get elected. They all over promised and underdelivered......

Once elected, they allowed the political machine to suck them in to keep their corruption in the dark and out of the spotlight. President Trump shines a spotlight on this corruption, AND THAT'S WHY THEY HATE HIM!!!

Many of you, just like society, hate Donald Trump......but I say it really doesn't matter because Donald is doing EXACTLY what he said he would do, and what he believes in his heart is best for the American people = ALL PEOPLE!!!

You can't please 100% of the people when you tell them the truth!!!
I greatly appreciate and respect Trumps guts and perseverance to hang in their for the majority of us that want to see our country thrive and survive as a safe, prosperous, and free nation!!

God bless America!!!

Sherrod 2020.

Sorry you feel let down by Warren. But there are a number of quality Dems. They tend to not be very flashy or sexy. They just do the work. Keep criticizing the party when they need to be criticized, but it's not like the Dems are utterly useless just because the brightest stars ain't all that.

More Americans are working than ever before.

Illegal aliens are stealing our jobs and making it hard for Americans to find work.

Yeah, brilliant speech.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a Marxist who couldn’t care less about other women.
‬‪She refused to applaud the ICE agent who saved more than 300 girls and woman from coyote smugglers. ‬

“Let us reaffirm a fundamental TRUTH: all children, born and unborn, are made in the Holy image of God.” — President Donald Trump

So many Democrats are waking up today feeling like political orphans, embarrassed to be called a Democrat because their elected “leaders” wouldn’t stand for the sanctity of life......the same “leaders” who just last week had no problem standing and applauding the opportunity to kill babies in dilating mothers......

Political orphans who don’t feel represented by the likes of Nancy, Chuck, Elisabeth or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

the fact that we don’t agree with ocasio or feel embarrassed by warren’s double standards doesn’t mean we’re joining your shitty club bytoe

Bytor Peltor 02.06.2019 10:26 AM

It’s not a club, it’s a reality!

It’s the same reality that got Trump elected in 2016.

How did Rush (the band) say it:

“If you choose not to decide
You still have made a choice”

Still catching up with Trump's SOTU address, which is shockingly calm and rational.

It's too bad Trump focused far too much attention on how great he and his administration are, falsely gloating about how he is going to expand the middle class despite increasing their taxes to benefit the rich (source: https://www.rawstory.com/2019/02/tru...gops-tax-plan/), rallying nationalism, demonizing his opposition who only want to help those in the country who are struggling, and pointing out war heroes, famous astronauts, and brain tumor survivors in the key of, "look at my African American over there!" Dude acts like he suddenly wants to unite the country when he's been preaching division all along. It's painful to watch Pelosi clapping at Trump like he just successfully shit in the bowl for the first time after numerous attempts. Where is any mention of climate change, you rat bastards?!

But hey... that's none of my business though.

I would drink Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's bath water.

To AOC:

Keep fighting the good fight, comrade. Mark my words, you will be remembered as being on the right side of history. Keep your firm allegiance to a woman's right to safely decide what it is they do with their own bodies, protecting our environment, and protecting people of all nationalities in seek of refuge and asylum.

Why would anyone's opinion of the SOTU address matter apart from people who actually watched the SOTU?

because it might look like “76% of the nation approves” of the man who lost the popular vote....

it’s a matter of optics. just making sure they’re clear

Dr. Eugene Felikson 02.06.2019 12:09 PM

I understand optics, but someone's opinion on something they haven't even watched themselves holds as little validity to me as Soup Nazi's opinion on pretty much anything - whether they agree with me or not.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 02.06.2019 12:14 PM

Like this whole shitty speech is a matter of optics. Bragging about how he got people off of food stamps... because his administration made them harder to get, bragging about how more people are working now than ever... because it's nigh impossible to retire and people are taking on multiple jobs in addition to full-time schooling just pay off their student loans, etc, etc,

YOU FUCK! YOU DISGUSTING CAPITALIST FUCK, ONLY HELPING THE WEALTHY FUCK! RAISE THE MINIMUM WAGE, YOU OPENLY RACIST TRAITOROUS SWINE!!!

lolololol

i read the transcript, did not need to endure the orange blob for an hour and a half for that

what im saying, when i clarify “the audience”, is that the tweet with those figures makes him look more popular than he actually is.

fnord

Dr. Eugene Felikson 02.06.2019 12:26 PM

oh yeah clearly lol. we're in agreement. im just watching it now in small chunks, pausing intermediately because im all fired up

something like 58% of voters recently polled said they'd never vote for him again

amazing how he can brag about how amazing his admin is when they just shut down the government for 35 days because "wahhhh if cant have my wall you cant have anything... dont look at all the other government spending i got rid of, all the environmental protection laws i threw in the trash, #bringbackcoal, just gimme my damn Trump Wall of Freedom"

Quote:

President Trump Used the State of the Union to Call for an End to Investigations. So Did Nixon

President Donald Trump called for the investigations against him to be brought to an end during his State of the Union speech on Tuesday. Though the President did not mention Robert Mueller by name, even as the special counsel’s probe into Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election continues, Trump singled out “ridiculous” and “partisan” investigations, and warned that they could harm the economic “resurgence.”

“An economic miracle is taking place in the United States — and the only thing that can stop it are foolish wars, politics or ridiculous partisan investigations,” Trump said, per his prepared remarks. “If there is going to be peace and legislation, there cannot be war and investigation. It just doesn’t work that way! We must be united at home to defeat our adversaries abroad.”

Trump was not the first president to call for the end of the investigations during his State of the Union. In 1974, Nixon told Congress, “I believe the time has come to bring that investigation and the other investigations of this matter to an end. One year of Watergate is enough!”

President Nixon in 1974 #SOTU: "I believe the time has come to bring that investigation and the other investigations of this matter to an end. One year of Watergate is enough!"

Though he said he would cooperate with the Watergate investigation, Nixon argued that the country had other things to worry about that required Washington’s full attention. He resigned from office less than a year later, in August of that year.

Trump’s claim that the investigations will directly harm the economy appears to have a mixed basis in history.

The economy was in fact weak for the duration of the Watergate era, with stocks losing 42% of their value during the period of the scandal, from January 1973 to August 1974. However, the period of the scandal also coincided with a global oil shock and spiking inflation.

On the other hand, the economy remained strong throughout throughout the investigation of Bill Clinton during the late 1990s. According to Gallup, 71% of Americans said in a January 1999 poll that the period was the “best economy of their lifetime,” according to Gallup.

That scandal did impact the stock market, but it ultimately bounced back. “[After] investors concluded that this event would not likely lead to recession,” Sam Stovall, chief investment strategist for CFRA, has said. “The [market] then went on to recover the entire decline and set a new all-time high.”

Skuj 02.06.2019 02:22 PM

LOL at this 76% thing. I watched too - just to see what kind of idiocy comes out of his mouth this time.

Did y'all miss the part about how Trump saved us from nuclear war with NK?

So, because I watched a trainwreck, do I support the trainwreck now?

On another note - Warren is done. It's a shame. This "Indian" thing is the gift that just keeps on giving to her opponents.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 02.06.2019 02:29 PM

What is the deal with Warren's Native American heritage anyway?

So it's like a dismal percentage and she just keeps claiming it as her race to gain political traction over the years?

Like, compared to some of Trump's or even Hillary's baggage from 2016... is that even relevant?

Maybe I'm like a nihilist or something, but I don't really understand why certain things are so crucial.
