THE FEED-BACK

THE FEED-BACK - s/t LP (1970)
This wonderful and curious album has both the distinctive touches of British library music and German kraut jams, but it’s actually an Italian jazz-rock group featuring Ennio Morricone on trumpet! This record is a psychedelic jazz freakout on the highest level, much like the “Frrrrridgidare” LP by Le Groupe X (another Italian studio project) I posted on PPJ a while back, and will re-post here on ECR sometime soon. Highly, highly recommended!

noisebox - monkey ass

awesome but slept on 1995 album by an electro-industrial band usually only discovered by people looking for noise unit records that haven't been filed under front line assembly.

...interestingly, one of the guys in the band is named josh and calls himself "shadow" ...and there's some more hip-hop based beats and scratching on the album that led me to think it might be josh davis aka dj shadow... but he's from davis, california (never thought about that... josh davis from uc davis...) and these guys are from seattle.

So which one was better? Boris with Merzbow or Boris with Merzbow?

Toilet & Bowels 11.27.2007 03:08 AM

i've only heard 3 of their collaborations, but they're all a disappointing to varying degrees
