A great album, full of diversity.Lots of great raw textures and soulful funky rhythms.

Indeed. Both Jack & Loretta did a great job on that. I can say w/out a doubt that "Van Lear Rose" was one of the few albums that was deserving of a Grammy, not that that means much now a days.
