it is myopic to look at me from an english perspective

i’ve never even been to england, have zero attachmentto any city or land there, etc. i’m even an antimonarchist.

i only came to the prem to watch the good players and coaches, who work there for financial reasons.

the mourinho thing—i’ve always rooted for the individual vs. society. i’m of the devil’s party and i know it. viva nietzsche & fuck the herd.

when everyone starts loving mourinho again i’ll get bored with his cult, but right now it’s fun to see him beat the critics.

well, game not over yet...

lol now ive jinxed them

ps- man u some great players but still not very fun to watch as a whole

fellaini and de gea great today though

wolves tomorrow!

Sorry, I've obviously been joking but you did make that almost too easy.:D

But yeah, turned into a really good game. The quality of individual players means MU will always win more than they lose but it's their flimsiness. No way should they have let Watford get back into that, and without that DeGea save right at the end it would've been another nail in Jose's coffin.

That's it, but I'd tolerate the lack of fun if they were offering some kind of masterclass in efficiency, or something, but they don't. They're top tier players playing mid-table (at best) football. The biggest criticism of Mourinho is he might be winning games but is he really getting the most out of those players. Pogba's better than that. Even DeGea, before the saves, looked a bit shaky (although I honestly think have might've singlehandedly (literally) saved Jose's job at the end there.

hahahaha i didnt know the red devil business—i was paraphrasing blake on milton, sorta.

yeah theyre not completely out of the shitter. this is precisely where the herd mentality irks me. yesterday it was all bad. today it is all good. of course neither lolololol. they barely scraped today.

but yeah i do still like villains some. i wish the bastard well. same as milton’s satan.

my fave team so far liverpool. so entertaining.

and wolves tomorrow!

man city is great, but it seems somehow too great. i had that problem with bayern in bundesliga because their games held no interest eventually. will it be 2-0 or 4-0 or 6-0?and so i followed them mostly for champions league and then they’d be matched with an europa team. so little challenge. dortmund became the interesting one for me.

anyway im rambling now

im sure your mind will be elsewhere tomorrow though

demonrail666 09.15.2018 03:01 PM

Tomorrow's games run straight after each other so I'll probably watch both. Yeah, I like Wolves too.

I love watching Liverpool but have to say I think Man City are something special. They'll lose games here and there but it's just the quality of the football they're playing. And when you think they're having to do that without DeBruyne. And honestly, when you look at their bench, is their a stronger squad right now in club football? Not saying there isn't but I wouldn't bet that there is. There were times today, watching the interplay between Sane DSilva and BSilva, where it was pretty much football porn.

Newsflash: two West Ham fans have kidnapped Rob Instigator!

!@#$%! 09.16.2018 07:17 AM

hahaha

that’s gotta be an impostor though

somehow i cant believe rob would sit so quietly in the back

demonrail666 09.16.2018 07:26 AM

The kidnappers apparently ditched him half way to the game when he started ranting about religion.

!@#$%! 09.16.2018 08:18 AM

wolves such a nice fucking fist half!

unfortunately for them joe hart on fire today

demonrail666 09.16.2018 08:28 AM

Wolves look VERY good. Burnley hanging on for their life here.

!@#$%! 09.16.2018 09:23 AM

wolves sooooooo frustrating in the finish. fucksakes!

with someone like lewandoski in there....

what nuno could do with more talent in his hands one can only dream of

demonrail666 09.16.2018 09:36 AM

Yeah, they'll do ok this season but will inevitably drop points through sloppy finishing. Although I'd say teams far better than Wolves would benefit from having a Lewandowski up front. And they've just been promoted so they're already exceeding expectations. Meanwhile Burnley were excellent last season but they're really struggling at the moment.

Anyway, a stiff drink now, in preparation for WH Everton. I'm prepared for the worst.

Pellegrini making 6 changes:eek:

!@#$%! 09.16.2018 09:40 AM

just heard his quick pregame interview he unhappy with all aspects of everything hahaha

h8kurdt 09.16.2018 10:14 AM

Of course it's 1-0 to West Ham

demonrail666 09.16.2018 10:33 AM

well this wasn't in the script

h8kurdt 09.16.2018 10:34 AM

Actually shocking how bad Everton are today. How Schneiderlin in particular is still playing is beyond me. Shower of shite. EDIT:Turns out his Dad died last night. Now I feel doubly bad.

demonrail666 09.16.2018 10:38 AM

WH still have plenty of time to throw this away but gotta say, Everton's defence is shocking. Cant cope with Arnie or Yarmo at all. And what was Pickford thinking?

h8kurdt 09.16.2018 10:41 AM

That bit where Tosun had the feeble shot. Why was Gylfi in his way? He defending for West Ham now?!

You know his dad died last weekend, right? Still a shower of shit, though :)

EDIT: Damn those edits.

demonrail666 09.16.2018 10:47 AM

h8kurdt 09.16.2018 10:49 AM

Kin hell here we go. Solid header, like.

!@#$%! 09.16.2018 10:49 AM

less entertaining than the wolves game but way better finishing on both sides

h8kurdt 09.16.2018 11:20 AM

Fuck me, Pickford. Talk about end-to-end this game. Why Lookman hasn't come on i've no idea.

h8kurdt 09.16.2018 11:57 AM

Niasse and Tosun couldn't kick a fucking yoga ball at an open net for 5 yards away.

Well done demo, you guys deserved it.

demonrail666 09.16.2018 12:10 PM

Yeah, don't wanna rub it in but I thought it was a fair result. I thought wed blow it after the Siggy goal but I actually thought we played pretty well for the most part. Arnie's injury scare is a big worry but god did we need those points.

I'm obviously happy with the result but thought it was an excellent game all round. Really open, both teams going for it. But a bad day at the office for Everton.

And agree about Tosun. If he's basically meant to replace Lukaku then, well, he never will.

!@#$%! 09.16.2018 12:11 PM

congrats on your soothed nerves

i wonder where chicharito will go in january

h8kurdt 09.16.2018 12:12 PM

Big Sam said last year that Tosun was Europe's best buy. That guy....

With Arnie possibly injured Chicharito will probably be a starter till he comes back

what about the other dude who came in for him or the one who refused

guess chícharo ahead of the refusenik lolol

demonrail666 09.16.2018 02:03 PM

Antonio came on for Arnie when we were trying to hold onto a lead. Antonio isn't a massive goal threat but he works hard in midfield. Chicharito would've only been the right option if we were chasing that game.

oh i see ok

demonrail666 09.16.2018 06:53 PM

I'd say players like Chicharito are being slowly phased out of the Prem altogether (at least until they become fashionable again), as even the lower ranked teams appear to be embracing a more fluid, essentially total football attitude to players roles and positions. Although very different players, in terms of their adaptability and sheer work rate, the Prem strikers that I think best embody that are Lukaku, Firminho and (when he's properly fit) Kane. But their equivalents are also at lower ranked teams now: Arnie at West Ham (essentially a false 9), Josh King at Bournemouth, Zaha at Palace, etc. I don't know what it's like in other leagues but I think there's less and less options for players like Chicharito, in the Prem at least.
Again, until they come back into fashion.

Also on the substitution, it was enforced but I'm glad Pellegrini had on one level the sense not to go all out for another goal but not go fully defensive either. I'm not suddenly pretending West Ham's troubles are over (it's Chelsea next, then MU) but for the 1st time this season they were playing some decent football. Anderson and Yarmo also finally showing good signs.

i was thinking that chícharo was being ineffectual on his own, but him not having a place in the system would be a more logical reason for his decreased output.

and yes they were playing decent football at last. not beautiful, it was rather chaotic most of the time, but very nice goals actually. you’re the anti-wolves hahaha. much improved though.

although everton was also a bit of a mess (no offense h8kurdt) which means increased opportunities. but hey, goals redeem all.

Absolutely none taken. Lord knows I can be their harshest critic and yesterday was an omnishambles. We have two strikers who couldn't score with a prostitute and a defence about as leaky an incontinent 90 year old man. Just ridiculous.

demonrail666 09.17.2018 04:29 AM

I was listening to Talksport after the game and it was full of Everton fans, most of whom seemed pretty unconvinced by Silva, mainly regarding the defence. I've not seen enough of them so far to really comment but it would be fair to say that all 3 of West Ham's goals yesterday were in part the result of bad defending.

And god knows what you'll do with Tosun. I only assume Richarlison will replace him next week, now he's sat out his ban.
