I liked it a lot. 8/10.

alteredcourse 05.19.2010 01:45 AM

I was in the right in the middle of the party

when my neighbors started flailing and screaming to call 911. I ran outside to the apartment hallway with my phone as this couple was wrestling around with their little girl standing there crying. I told them both to calm the fuck down and stop fighting and they both kinda stopped and looked at me while the kid flew to my side. The man took off to another apartment while the lady ran into hers. Didnt get to offer the kid her obligatory trauma glass-o-water being on the phone with the cops til they got here. Poor kid, at least when my parents fought, I could hide in my own room on an entirely different floor of the house, while I bet she's lucky if she has her own corner in the living room.

So I really liked this movie, and now I get to go back and watch the last couple minutes. Bonus that it's on youtube.

atsonicpark 05.19.2010 02:04 AM

yeah, great film, awesome atmosphere, great deaths.

demonrail666 05.19.2010 02:10 AM

El Topo. 6/10

atsonicpark 05.19.2010 02:12 AM

Weird, I watched El Topo with my girlfriend for the 100th time last week. One of the rare 11/10 films.

demonrail666 05.19.2010 02:29 AM

The thing is I gave Russ Meyer's Cherry, Harry and Raquel 6/10 too, and no way is anyone gonna tell me that El Topo is a better film than Cherry, Harry and Raquel.

atsonicpark 05.19.2010 03:38 AM

El Topo is in my top 5 favorite films ever.

man jodorowsky is like... mmm ok... but not so like... YEAH!

"THE ADVENTURE IS LIFE!"

don't pretend you didn't cry out WHAT A FUCKIN RIP!!

if anyone else did a movie and the answer was "THE ADVENTURE IS LIFE!" they'd get rightly ripped for it.

I like "El Topo" with the whole fucked up western vibe, "Holy Mountain" is overrated besides the cool as hell music. "Fando y Lis" was too fucked up even for me.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 05.19.2010 11:15 AM

Jodorowsky is easily one of the best directors of all-time. Holy Mountain, El Topo, and Fando Y Lis are all masterful in their execution.

Last night, my friends and I drank every time someone cursed, said "cheese", or "daddy".
Talk about getting smashed.

atsonicpark 05.19.2010 12:22 PM

"Holy Mountain" is overrated?

Now I've heard everything..

Dr. Eugene Felikson 05.19.2010 12:38 PM

I thought El Topo was the one that most people jizzed on.

chicka 05.19.2010 02:33 PM

y'know Jim? He's that guy.

On a sidenote, did you see The Ten and if so did you notice that there's a character named Jim Stansel? :)

Rob Instigator 05.20.2010 09:16 AM

not as grim as I expected. I give it a 7/10.

Derek 05.20.2010 09:48 AM

4/10
For serious Lil Wayne fans... its pretty shittily edited and the footage is only marginally interesting.. but if you can't get enough of Wayne...

And in a serious 360

6/10
Not without its moments, but it comes a little close to collapsing under its own pretentiousness at some points.

atsonicpark 05.21.2010 06:20 PM

Yeah, never got the deal with I am Curious Yellow...

blue - 8/10

layer cake - 6/10

band that would be king doc

Thought this was quite good, though quite odd, skipped around a lot, though Penn's story was amazing! Byron Coley is always a pleasure to listen to.

Yeah.. most of the points come from the strange attraction I had to Lena and the interesting structure... I didn't hate it.. but I didn't particularly like it... I can't quite peg how I feel about the movie as a whole.

I've seen that film 500 times. Love it. Up there with Terminator 2 (which it references!) and Home Alone and Dumb and Dumber as movies
you can just fucking watch and watch and watch and they never, ever get old.

deflinus 05.23.2010 06:38 PM

i like it when a well done movie grabs my full attention from start to finish

noisereductions 05.23.2010 07:36 PM

@atsonic... T2 really does rule. The rest of the series blows.

atsonicpark 05.23.2010 08:00 PM

I like the first one a bit better, though the second one is more rewatchable, if that makes sense.

noisereductions 05.23.2010 08:57 PM

WHAT??? The first one is alright, but not nearly as awesome as the 2nd. I honestly feel like the 2nd could have been the only movie in the series.

GeneticKiss 05.23.2010 10:28 PM

The Terminator was an interesting twist on the low-budget slasher film.

Terminator 2 was big-budget Hollywood hot air.

Even though all the violence in the first Terminator gets boring after a while, the first had Linda Hamilton's tits, and the theme song sounds so much better on a synth than orchestrated, so it wins.

I have yet to see 3 or Salvation (not putting a big priority on seeing either one), so I cannot give an opinion on those.

Toilet & Bowels 05.24.2010 05:12 AM

Not as good as I thuoght it would be, but kind of enjoyable
