Early Hollywood was the best and so were the old posters.
I'm 4 crackers shy of eating 2 sleeves of club crackers today. I think I might be sick. |

whoa, you have mormon links? crazy. my parents were both missionaries and my dad and stepmom are still practicing mormons. they live off of coke/diet coke though. my dad's friend is high up in his ward in idaho but he drank wine. it was weird. i wish we had a surplus of wine. |

My dad was on a mission when he met my mom He converted my mothers family Kind of a cool story, I suppose I, however, am not an active member Organized religion skeeves me out And I think I may be an athiest I just don't think about it much because I don't care I just live my life Who cares if theres an after life or not... Etc.etc.etc.etc. How is the bottle you're drinking? I've never had it before |

they even had foreign versions of some posters, including casablanca. naturally, i freaked out. you need sustenance, boy. i read recently about this museum in la doing a film noir retrospective especially highlighting female characters. it sounds cool- if i find the link again, i'll post it. |

my folks met that way. they were pen pals. she served in england and he in ohio. my dad and his family went to the local ward his whole youth, and he and mom took me until i was nine so everyone still knows us there. i think it's interesting, but i don't practice. i'm just spiritual. if i had to pick a church, though, i'd be most comfortable in lds. my stepdad loves mondavi, so it's all that's ever in. it's not sweet enough for me.. i hate sweets, but this just isn't sweet enough. i like it overall, though. |
Quote:
Cool cool I think that if I ever get married/have kids and my wife wants our kids to go to church I'd probably return to LDS It's a great enviornment for kids |

I had some Sesame chicken and rice today too. it's better than my usual diet of pizza, cheese subs, ice cream, Coca-Cola, and orange tic-tacs with occasional pita and hummus. |
my stepsiblings, or at least the younger ones, live with their supermormon dad and stepmom (and her bitch of a daughter) and they have a really cool youth group that i went to with my sister and i actually had a lot of fun.
i plan to marry a rich hot jew, though. a nice collision of religious backgrounds. i have a thing for jews. |
I know some hot jewish ladies
Why does he have to be rich though? |

i've been craving chinese food all day. today i had a lot of seafood, but it's beecause i ae out. normally my diet is a ton of granola products. if there is ever a nuclear war, i at least know that i'll have enough chocolate and caramel fiber granola bars to keep me full. |

so he can buy me more stuff. nah. but it helps. i plan to be super independent but have a nice rock on my finger. |
I eat probably an unhealthy amount of cheese pizza because it's readily available and as long as I eat from a few establishments, I don't get tired of it, plus it's fairly quick and cheap.
|
I can't keep myself from posting this, so I won't fight it anymore.

for $7.11, this cool pizza place a few miles from here has an unlimited pizza/pasta/salad bar. it rocks. crypto- oh, i know it doesn't. i'm changing what i'm looking for to "smart hot jew", because brains are a bit better than $$. |
Geez, that's great. I usually stick to the small $3.99 which is a full meal and then some for myself. Plus, they're open until at least 1:30am, which is double cool.
|
haveyou tried the p'zone from pizza hut? i can't eat any more than half. it's a pizza folded in itself. so good, but it's a full pound of food.
|
I've never had one of those. I'm kind of a purest, cheese only, pepperoni if I'm sharing with someone who likes it.
|
these are only cheese and pepperoni.
the $7.11 place here has a chicken alfredo pizza that's really tasty. in provo this cute pizza place had a chicken artichoke pizza that i wish i could have them mail me. |
I no can haz Pizza Inn :( because there's not one near campus. I'd put out a smoke on my arm for just 12 slices.
|
oh man, i feel for you. i haven't actually been in a pizza hut for a while.. being in a subdivision really feels like a prison. i can walk out of here, but because my community's on a weird part of the road, the cool things like the mall or restaurants are a hell of a long/unsafe walk.
|
Yeah, my old subdivision was like 3 miles from the nearest....anything other than more houses/pastures. I like being able to walk to things, but I usually won't go more than a few blocks for food.
|
everything in daytona is essentially on international speedway boulevard, and my street runs perpendicular sort of to it, but it's really spread out. there's no sidewalk or anything for a few miles until the aeronautical university pops up. it sucks. if terriblecanyons moves, i told her i'm hopping in the trunk.
|
ew pizza hut
|
No sidewalks suck. and narrow sidewalks might be worse. and worse still are groups of three or more people that insist on walking shoulder-to-shoulder on said narrow sidewalks under golf umbrellas.
|
crypto- noo! it's so good!
josh- nothing makes me want to smack people more than when it's a group of girls trying to do the sex and the city thing, taking up a whole sidewalk. oh my god. the clicking heels and shrill voices are enough, but when i'm trying to walk, i want to kill. |
I am sure it is
|
i'll let this slide. we're still friendz.

You just describe my vision of Hell. |
there are SO MANY of these little groups along the hotel strip here in daytona. god. and in the mall, which you wouldn't expect because it's such an average mall. it is hell.
|
I'm encircled by sorostitutes 24/7. I'd just like to hit them all with a truncheon. PDM is the worst. I usually keep indoors then.
|
sorostitutes is my new favorite word.
i guess it is an easy way to make friends, but it seems so desperate. just hearing about them makes me think of that old snl skit. "delta delta delta, how can we help ya help ya help ya?" |
Haha, I'll have to remember that to make fun of Tri-Delts with. If possible, the frat system is worse. There's no way in Hell I'd join one, I'd rather be a hermit. Mainly because of the whole "don't say 'frat'" because it's "fraternity" and the eternal follow-up question, "Would you call your country a 'cunt'?" and they look dumbfounded when I say "yes, and I'd call my dictionary a 'dick'"
|
the street on fsu campus that's all greek housing is a very surreal place. it's weird that the frat houses are nice and upkept and preppy looking, while the sorority houses are rundown. i just don't see how dudes can live with a house full of other dudes and be peaceful. girls at least can bitch about the others. i couldn't be a sorority queen, though. maybe i could start one for nerdy girls.. the anti-sorority.
|
In TN the sororities can't have their own houses because of out-dated laws governing brothels that are still on the books. So they have a special apartment building and floors in the dorms. The frat houses are run down, huge dirty buildings full of porn and Natty Light.
|
that's amazing that the laws are still around. fsu would be screwed. how they fit 32,000 students in is beyond me. i know obviously not everyone lives on campus, but it's still amazing.
the sorority houses all look like nice 1800s mansions, but smaller and like they haven't been upkept since then. |
We have something close to 30,000 total in a metro area of 670,000. The Greek things are really laughable.
|
tallahassee is 330,000 for the mtro area, then halved for actual population. so fsu is plain huge. a lot of the buildings are very '70s looking, but some parts of the campus are so cute. a few of my acquaintances that go tehre are pissed that they have to learn the bus schedule to get all around cmapus.
what i know about the greek life, because i actually don't go there, sounds so boring. nothing even tacky or stereotypical to laugh at. |
sucks to their asthmar
|
Our campus is fairly sizeable. I'm a fast walker and I can reach the farther flung parts of the main campus in 15 minutes or so. The Ag campus is a no-no though. You pretty much have to take a bus there unless you live in the dorm on the Ag campus.
