Fucking epic dude. Keep up the good work.

_slavo_ 11.05.2009 05:36 PM

So it's Behringer at last?

but srsly dude, you play FL Studio on your laptop? I mean, come on. ;)

shabbray2.0 11.05.2009 05:43 PM

@ slavo:
about the production:
I really dig it. you said you captured this live at the grouper-show.
via a soundboard or did you do it by yourself?

I think its kickass. and its even better when you consider its from a liveset!

_slavo_ 11.05.2009 05:56 PM

nonono
it's not straight from the set, it's a reproduction (meaning, i did the same stuff with the same setup, live in my livingroom, straight from the mix into the recording software, with no cuts or overdubs).
glad you like it though.

did you post the whole audio from the gig already? or not going to?

_slavo_ 11.06.2009 03:59 AM

no no, I did not and, unfortunately, won't. the sound guys did not record the gig, althought they'd said they would do so.
that thing what you heard is just the reproduction I made two days ago in my livingroom.

phoenix 11.06.2009 05:06 AM

bastards!

yeah, I bought the Behringer one... it was really cheaper and it does what I need (I do not need the preamps so I don't care whether they're good or bad).

and yeah, I play FL Studio :D it does what I need: running vsts that i can control with my midi keyboard, fine sequencer, and no crack control like on ableton ( ;) ).

will listen to your set this afternoon...

you seem to have the memory of an elephant :)
nice that you managed to recreate what you ve played live.
and I really like the overall volumes of the layers.
especially how you interwove (?!) those voices, really diggin that.
where does these voices/recordings come from?
also the main drone is at the right volume. its always there but never boring and/or too loud.

nicfit 11.06.2009 09:54 AM

buaaaaah!
al, no paypal yet :D? :D?
ha hahahhahaa I'm going insane.

the female voice is from miss knox (active here on SYG) and the male speech loop is from ubuweb, I believe.
Thanks for the kind words, man!

SYRFox 11.06.2009 04:23 PM

I really enjoyed the track too, slavo. Kind of put me in a cloud for nine minutes, which is great :) thanks!

Derek 11.06.2009 04:55 PM

I made a UUUUUU song called "Waves" a few months ago, weird! haha. It's unreleased though so I think I'll let you slide ;)

How is everyone doing? I am just relaxing on this friday night and hopefully going to bed soon to read and watch Rocko's Modern Life.

nicfit 11.06.2009 06:01 PM

I'm glad I'm still alive.

_slavo_ 11.06.2009 06:05 PM

i played Dark Messiah of Might and Magic for 4 hours and now I'm angry with myself that I'm wasting time like that.

nicfit 11.06.2009 06:15 PM

I played Dragon Age origins for 20 mins and I'm in love.

I know what you mean, but on the other side...what did you miss by playing that game???

shabbray2.0 11.06.2009 07:28 PM

Hey guys, here is the rough cut of a new track.

I am pretty satisfied with it, but something in the arrangement is just not right I think. Any suggestions? and please tell me what you think in general about it, shit or decent? (to say it with slavos words :)) sounds/production/arrangement be honest, like ever :)
