Haha you use Microsoft. Zzzzzz. Bitch. ;) Stop encouraging Rob Instigator to instigate, by the way. I'm conducting a nature v. nurture data collection on instigators and he's my primary subject. You'll sully the results. |

You Applefuckers should be waterboarded. :p |
woah woah woah. I use Microsoft everything. And plenty happy. I had Windows 10 beta long before it was retail. My gaming rig is Windows. My tablet is a Surface Pro 3. And my only console is an Xbox One. And I'm a well adjusted dude.
Honestly if they'd put out a Surface phone I'd use that over Android happily. I loved the UI on my Win8 phone, but unfortunately it was too long in the tooth. And unsupported by Sprint when I switched to them as a carrier. |

If I had to pick a laptop/tablet/os OTHER than MacBook Pro/iPad Pro/iOS/OSX in 2017, it would be Surface book/surface pro/Win10. If I had to recommend non-Apple shit to someone else, it would be the same deal. But I wouldn't buy any of those things unless Apple somehow stopped existing. The phone thing is huge too. I do so much work on my phone (iPhone 7) and the universality is key. Windows needs to make a Surface phone because Android is shit. Shiny shit, sometime, but shit nonetheless. Shit with big screens is still shit. Give me a Samsung Note and I'll give you a Samsung Note and five seconds to get the fuck away from me. Not just because I'm a snob, but also because they explode. |

I sometimes kiss my iPhone. What if it? Actually, the iPhones 7 is great for a lot of things, but the headphones plugging into the power source was a dumb fucking move. Most wireless headphones suck, and even the apple ones are $150 for 5 hours max of usage. NO FUCKING WAY. If my phone had shipped with that shit like it was supposed to originally before delay after delay with the AirPods, then it would be a reasonable situation. But yeah... not being able to use headphones and charge at the same time is a completely unnecessary problem to start with out of the box in 20-fucking-17. The iPhone7 Plus takes damn good photos though. Even the regular iPhone 7. Full DSLR quality is not far off. Plus the phones are pretty. Look, now they have a White Stripes-themed one! ![]() lol I'm just kiddding it's fer Aids and stuff |
Holy hell.
I don't have an internet connection at home. I don't have a computer. I don't have a tablet [*]. I don't have a cellphone. I don't have a landline. I don't have a gaming device. I do have a Pono Player and it sounds better than ALL YOUR BLOODY GIZMOS PUT TOGETHER. [*] I do have Spiritualized tablets. |
Wow dude. Your life and my life... They don't touch at all.

![]() ok so having admitted to being The Guy who likes Zeitgest, maybe my opinion holds less weight to y'all. BUT... Oceania is fantastic. Against all odds, it is the best thing the "band" had done in a decade. And I mean... I'm not even sure how. Billy hired an entirely new band via auditions. He basically hired a bunch of kids. Ones who were probably too young to even remember all his rage. But somehow. Somehow this albums SOUNDS like a 90's Smashing Pumpkins album. Which one? All of them. That's what's fascinating. Literally every sound explored in SP's discography from Gish to Machina is touched upon here. But it also doesnt' sound like a band stuck in the past. It sounds comfortable. Oceania's success is a miracle. I'll be the first to admit that. But what really bums me out is how few folks will actually pay it the attention it deserves. Do me a favor and at least listen to "Panopticon" which is one of my fav SP songs in a long long long time. |

Define success. |
a successful album sounds good.
You've known me long enough to know that record sales and awards aren't even something I think about. |

yeah I just mean that difference in technology. Seems just like a different way than I live. NOt saying one's better than the other. Just different.

Ok, just clarifying. Not judging. Just... y'know.. Oceania was decidedly not "successful" in terms of traditional definitons. Sorry. |
yeah I just meant successful in terms of how I speaking about it. As in, it succeeded (musically) in ways that Zeitgest hadn't prior. I feel like it was pretty fairly appreciated critically btw.

Same here. I have to be ("have" to) reachable 24/7. Even if it wasn't basically a job requirement, I'm not sure I'd have it any other way. I can get so much work done while I'm watching tv in the evenings, giving me more freedom to take long lunches and days off. I don't like being constantly wired in to my work world though. It makes my non-work world increasingly difficult to define, and makes it hard to set boundaries. I work a lot of nights, weekends and holidays. |
