Sonic Youth Gossip - what are you listening to?

I always loved their early jangly stuff. Putting some on right now. But I could never get into their country stuff. I'm told SWEETHEART is a great record, but I can't really hear it.

I really love Mr. Tambourine Man, Fifth Dimension & Younger Than Yesterday-albums! Really also always loved Byrds version about Mr. Tambourine Man, hard to say which is better, Dylan or theirs. Have to listen also Turn!Turn!Turn! album someday.

About drugs & creativity, I have always thinking drug using doesn´t increase creativity even it of course affects the substance of what you create. If it´s not so, then I think we have lots more creative people in the world.

To me it have been backward, I have first checked all the sixties and seventies stuff and after that 80-2000 stuff. Never really get in anything of the lame stuff of sixties/seventies like Steely Dan or later Fleetwood Mac. Thin Lizzy is ok.
