I've watched a few clips from the (claymation) The Adventures of Mark Twain.
One scene in particular... the "Mysterious Stranger" one... such an eerie and unnerving scene, it's kind of frightening in a way, and it really forces you to think about the stupidity of life.

Norma J 09.15.2007 01:31 AM

Alfie was on tele lastnight. Watched it whilst drawing. Liked it.

nicfit 09.15.2007 03:40 AM

"Them" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0465203/
don't watch it if you live in an isolated house.
watch it alone and with headphones, sound is great.

king_buzzo 09.15.2007 03:44 AM

Reservoir Dawgs.

Norma J 09.15.2007 05:13 PM

Cocaine Cowboys. Good documentary.

!@#$%! 09.15.2007 05:24 PM

also, chan wook park!

oh yes butterfuckers.

next in line i have "story of a prostitute", "holy mountain" and "oldboy"-- what should it be....?

MysticalChicken 09.15.2007 06:10 PM

Mystery Men. (yes, for the first time, although I'd seen part of it before)

While not the best movie I've ever seen, it was pretty fun. Also, Tom Waits FTW.

h8kurdt 09.15.2007 06:11 PM

Watched Serenity just then and it was surprisingly bloody good.

floatingslowly 09.15.2007 06:40 PM

Dark Fury - The Chronicles of Riddick (Animated)\

from Peter Chung who did Aeon Flux.

a lot better than I hoped when I put it on the netflix queue.

I like crappy sci-fi violence though.

too short though (only 34 minutes).

I know that most every geek will tell you this, but Firefly was the best thing to ever come out of a TV screen. Serenity needs a part II, III and IV.

You'll probably kill me for not knowing this but I had no idea that Serenity was from Firefly. Hell, I've never even watched Firefly but all the same it was a brilliant film.

LifeDistortion 09.15.2007 07:19 PM

I see you've become a Suzuki convert, good job. Haven't seen "Story of a Prostitue", nor "Holy Moutain" (though I've heard nothing but good things about it), "Oldboy" kicks ass though. Can't say its better then the other two, but its definately worth a viewing.

gmku 09.17.2007 10:39 PM

I want to see The Brave One. It looks a little corny but Jody Foster looks fucking amazing.

gmku 09.17.2007 10:40 PM

I recently re-watched Legends of the Fall on cable, and for the first time, again on cable, Junebug. Both were enjoyable experiences.

Silent Dan Speaks 09.17.2007 11:14 PM

Team America. Still funny after all the times I've seen it.

America! Fuck yeah!

edward_sick 09.17.2007 11:21 PM

welcome to my nightmare.

good stuff

floatingslowly 09.18.2007 01:33 AM

New Rose Hotel

Dafoe / Walken / Gibson

I'm not sure why I haven't seen it before....

it got a little redundant with flashbacks of previous scenes, but it was pretty true to the short story.

sweet gawd asia argento is hot. chick thread here I come...

Everyneurotic 09.18.2007 10:36 AM

screwed on tv again.

then later, airheads. still funny as hell.

HaydenAsche 09.18.2007 10:51 AM

I watched the Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie For Theatres again last night. The first 15 minutes are the funniest of any movie ever.

jon boy 09.18.2007 03:04 PM

lord of the rings, forgot how good it is.

Things To Do

sarramkrop 09.21.2007 07:09 AM

Edie Sedgwick, eat your heart out! Mary Woronov is where it's at and where it should be.

Tokolosh 09.25.2007 05:58 AM

Watched Heavy again last night. Almost forgot how good the soundtrack is.
Thurston's Victor And Callie, Undertow, Kissing On The Bridge, Spinning Goodbye and Culinary Institute really sets the mood of the film.

phoenix 09.25.2007 06:24 AM

The part witi the crazy angry people a la 28 days in serenity made me want to cry and puke. The last two movies i saw were both hairspray he he. :d

Everyneurotic 09.25.2007 11:54 AM

slc punk.

probably the best post-college movie ever, in my opinion.

h8kurdt 09.25.2007 11:56 AM

Watched 12 angry men the other day again. Just amazing, absolutly bloomin amazing. G/f didn't think so though. tsk.

GravitySlips 09.25.2007 11:57 AM

Rushmore

fairly good Wes Anderson film, didn't strike me as anything special though. That said, I liked it.

Midnight Express

Rob Instigator 09.25.2007 12:36 PM

Got my g/f to watch GLENGARRY GLENN ROSS which I fucking LOVE. Harsh perfect dialogue. She was heartbroken by it. I have yet to show that film to a woman who "liked" it. It hurts them too much.

Saw PAN'S LABYRINTH. Great fucking movie!!!! highly recommended by rob instigator. NOT for children.

(regarding Rushmore, you have to watch it more than once. It is a great movie)

floatingslowly 09.25.2007 12:40 PM

watched Big Trouble in Little China this weekend (for the eleven billionth time, but I wanted my son to watch it) and Zodiac last night.

mmm, kim cattrall in geisha gear.....

floatingslowly 09.25.2007 01:22 PM

I think I'd rather have a Six Demon Bag, but yeah, despite her horrible acting in this movie, she's pretty hot (although the Chinese girl's hotter).

Rob Instigator 09.25.2007 01:29 PM

that movie and the horrible mannequin made me fall in love with cattrall in my oh so young years

mangajunky 09.25.2007 01:31 PM

Re-watched the Usual Suspects
