...me and my brother have been talking about maybe trying to start something... we both play guitar and we have a potential from man that he was in a previous band with... he played bass in a punk band fronted by this guy... now he plays rythmn guitar and some keyboards for a ska band... i only ever jammed with friends but i've wanted to start a blues based garage punkish band for a while...

anyway. the three of us want to get together over the holiday and kick out some raw blues punk. this other guy steve i think plays some drums.... enough to keep a steady thumping 4/4 beat anyway, which is all we need...

a friend of mine here in g'ville plays keyboard in a band, but they never really put anything down on tape, just played at bars... he expressed interest in maybe putting some organ tracks down over anything the three of us produce in jersey... but that all depends how interested steve is...

if it goes anywhere, we might be looking for a drummer... dunno...

For a while I was recording stuff I did on 4-track with bass, guitar and a cheap-o drum machine. I went by the name "The Princess Lou" and recorded an album called "Depracation Celebration." Then I got a digital 4-track, and recorded a 4-song EP called "Stranded on a Strand" after moving to Florida. Now I'm too busy/uninspired to do anything, but I keep thinking about going back to it. I tell myself once I'm done with pharmacy school I'll have plenty of money to indulge in some nifty gadgets.

new I/C/O/C cd-r, called parasitic concubine, released by jorge castro's (cornucopia, clon, etc.) label, sonora.

i might upload it later on, i don't have an active link for it, strangely enough.

anyhoo, buy it from jorge at www.sonoradisc.com ...dude still hasn't updated the website, just email him ( jorrge(AT)gmail(DOT)com )and ask for it; if i remember correctly, he priced it at $7 u.s.d. shipping included worldwide. cornucopia are playing at no fun fest this year, so he'll probably have copies for sale then.
