I'm going to start my own black metal band (not a serious thing, just for fun). The only problem is I don't have a drum kit, and if I did, I wouldn't have the ability to play fast enough. I've already created some grim and evil riffs, and I've been playing around with my black metal voice.

Anyone else get a chance to check out our stuff?

DeadDiscoDildo - I certainly liked the noisier moments very much, but have to confess I wasn't completely taken with the gentler songy bits. Um, sorry about that.
|
My band's new name is A Thousand Bearded Rainbows.
Hopefully we'll have some recordings up kinda soon. |

osm\b from Portland Oregon USA has released 60 limited edition (blah blah blah) cassettes of ours, in a series including releases by Datashock and Uton. I'm quite fond of the music on this one. http://www.oms-b.org/

"Do you have a band" on the "sonic youth message board" what do you expect? no. |

My, how things change... We have a real name now, Peroxide... Both the bass player and the drummer mentioned above left not long after the quoted message above was posted. Check us out at www.myspace.com/peroxidebase... we also have our own semi-real website, www.peroxidebase.com, but there's currently no music on there. Some of you might like us...a lot of people have said we sound a mix of Radiohead and Nirvana. |
I dont think I have ever posted this on here befor so here it is
Breakfast with Jesus please let me know if you hate it or not |
well, last night a friend sold me a beat up synthesizer that surprisingly is capable of making some amazing sounds. therefore ive decided to start a one man synth-noise post-punk band. like the screamers meets masonna. me on vocals, guitars, and synthesizers. the name of this project is FELLATIO FALLOUT, or DEPRESSED FAT GIRLS, or BACKALLEY FUCK.
what name do yall like best? |
i'm in a band called the mia farrow expierence. no music yet, but we're a noisey pop punk band. think the song sister ray mixed with cold cold hearts and pinhead gunpowder and you get the idea.

here's a short acoustic track I recorded on garage band

i love it. very vigorous.
|
I've started a one man metal band, with influences from black, doom and viking metal. The name is going to be Krillitane (just like there were black metal bands, such as Burzum, who were into JRR Tolkien and were influenced by his work, I got this from Doctor Who). I'l be doing guitar, keyboards, drums and vocals.

My band has uploaded two new songs, check them out if you want: www.myspace.com/themurdersintheruemorgue
All opinions will be helpful. |

shamefull shameless self-promotion. MAMA LION PROPAGANDA
We finally have some new songs with a our drummer recorded on garage band (the ol' computer in the corner of the room technique) and we are actually getting some gigs. halloween show. oh yes, we will be playing monster mash (the greatest song ever? its could be argued) Anyways ck. the tunes. im curious to see what you guys think. www.myspace.com/mamalionmusic the ones with the drummer are the last 2 |
Not bad dude, checked out most of the tunes. I can't remember the names, since it was a couple of days ago, but a couple I really really liked and some just had a different vibe that I didn't dig as much. I'll check it out more when I have time.
This is a good idea for a thread, but I think most people just post their music or their bands music but noone really comments on it. Unless it's the whole if you have nothing good to say say nothing at all mantra that takes over this thread, but seriously, most of us should have similar taste in music even tho the stuff we create may be different, I dont think everyone here hates everyones music... or do they? mwuaha |
Oh yeah I was also gonna say, change your name to just Mama Lion. That's a good name, the third word makes you sound like a jam band or something.

haha, the name is mama lion, i just put propaganda since it was self promotion. or do you mean the "music" part? we just have to put mama lion music on the myspace site since someone already had that as their name. thanks for listening though! |
That's odd, I remember posting here before but somehow it won't show up. Well here it is again ;)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EO2OEMqyJY8 It's a solo project, some kind of amateurish Industrial Noise. I'm trying to improve my skills |
