Highlight of the week in 2021 be like: Yay, I unexpectedly got a free sample of vegan ice cream with the groceries I had ordered online.

Dental floss is apparently one of those products where the price range does make a substantial difference. Been using cheapo storebrand dental floss for a while, but had to get a more expensive brand option now for want of options. Holy shit, it's so much better. It fits through my teeth smoothly, hardly ever gets entangled and feels so much more gentle. Hard to believe I've been using that low-quality torture instrument for so long without knowing there's a way to floss your teeth that doesn't feel like you're hurting them more than anything.

I don't know what some of the options are where you live, but from what I can tell right now, Oral B seems to have the good shit. The roll-out one.

What a Friday night looked like two years ago. Granted, I wasn't always behind the turntables, but yeah. It almost seems weird now. Like scenes from another dimension.

After nearly two years that I stopped working at my former company and stayed home and did basically nothing, I'm now finally starting to look for new job opportunities. Tomorrow and the day after, I've got meetings set up at two different companies, one in person, and one as an online meeting.

I should have had a physical job interview this afternoon at the company's office. But I got a call this morning that it would be cancelled for today and postponed to next week. Reason: the office is closed because it's today a public holiday! And they had forgotten that the building would be closed for the day :D


Today, May 5, we celebrate Liberation Day. So if it wasn't for covid there would for instance be music festivals in every major city. But even though it's celebrated every year, it's not always a public holiday, only in lustrum years, which is every other 5 year. Possibly they had postponed it from last year to this year then. Still weird, but oh well. It's actually good for me, I slept like shit last night, neighbors were keeping me awake by chatting on their balcony until after 2AM ....

Soo....a few weeks ago I attended an invite only SF3 tournament. Invite only! and I made the cut. Anyway....I didn't win, but I did go 2-2, not bad considering I"m not a seasoned tournament player and I'm proabbly one of the newer players in attendance. anyway....this helped me over a wall I had hit and made me hungry for a tournament win.
