That's a nice show, but your right; the shortened files are discouraging. Maybe EN got something? |
a couple of great fugazi and other shit on this site.....
http://www.transmission3000.com/bands/?r=jehu.html this brings up the kick ass drive like jehu gig. go search from there..... |
I have at least one Fugazi boot somewhere. I can look through my 600 or so burned bootleg cds when I get home.
|
here's my fugazi boots list:
1989-Oct-08 Maxwell's, Hoboken NJ* 1991-Jan-30 Border, Burlington VT* 1995-Apr-05 Irving Plaza, NYC* 1997-Aug-29 Fort Reno, Washington DC* In On The Kill Taker (Steve Albini outtakes) i don't know which shows are on the archive.org or transmissions3000 pages, also, i can't upload anything until tomorrow though, so let me know ok (by the way, all except burlington and the albini outtakes i downloaded from dime) |
Albini Outtakes sounds interesting.
If you could up that I'd be very grateful. I'll also get the transmission3000 one (I believe it's the Irving Plaza one you have). |
rbally also has irving plaza.
albini outtakes is only 7 songs long, though. |
That's fine, if they're any good? Is it different takes of songs or songs that didn't make it on the album?
|
different takes of the songs; the story, if you don't know how it went is that fugazi had written kill taker and decided to record it in chicago with albini, they tracked the whole album and then went back to dc (or on tour, i can't remember well), then they came back to chicago to review the tracks to start mixing and everyone, albini and the band, didn't like the way things were recorded, the band took a break and then decided to rerecord all the songs they did with albini but on dc with ted nicely (repeater producer), and that became the actual kill taker album.
|
Huh, well, not sure I want to hear different takes (unless the differences are quite drastic or if some are better then the actual album)...
The trans.3000 will tide me over. You shouldn't have to upload anything. But I appreciate it anyway. |
i'll upload them anyway for whoever wants them but they are practically straight up demos of the final songs, no variations in the sounds or arrangements.

|
Someone upload a live DNA set please? That would be awesome.....
|
does anybody have blonde redhead's 2000-Dec-04 Great American Music Hall, San Francisco CA show? all i need is the song "water" from this set because mine is glitchy and won't burn the whole track so if anybody has at least this song and can upload it to me, i'd appreciate it a lot.
(pm me if you have it, that would be better) |
