Although only a few years old and from England, this is very evocative of 80s Bay Area Thrash. It could be written off as a simple act of nostalgia, which it effectively is, but it does a fine job of it, at least. The sort of thing many Metallica fans now wish Metallica still sounded like. It is what it is.

found an original 70s copy of this in the charity shop i work in today. Havent reconnected with this in a while. Lovely.

I used to write this off as a sign of The Cramps decline. I still think that's true but on its own terms it's a lot better than I'd previously managed to convince myself.
