A charity shop bargain. I took a chance on this because I haven't liked anything Mark Lanegan has done since about 1989. This is pretty good. £1.99 worth of good anyway.

Interesting, at least.

I have to agree, I'm not a Lanegan fan. I don't get the acclaim for the new album.

I don't understand why he is suddenly so loved these days. In many ways I think this album would have been better without his input. There are some really good songs and Isobel Campbell's voice is very nice.

I hate the word nice.

Another charity shop buy (£1.99 as ever). Worth having for the great early tracks. Digital was always one of my favourite JD songs but I only previously had the live version on Still.

Here's a tape I have'nt seen on too many places. It's a shame cause it's a brilliant peice of russian punk rock. The style is very original and melancholic, and it sounds much older than 1995. I don't know too much about this band, except that I can't stop listen to it. So if you like the special style of old russian bands like GrOb and the likes, this is mandatory.

i wish there was some more Earl, Tyler & Franky on it.
i suppose they know no one's checking the other members' solo stuff, so they're letting them shine on the collective tape.

ah well. the last track is fire. good to see Earl's still got it.

Foolishly just started listening to this one hour long piece when I have to leave the house in half an hour. We've all been there:o.

You Made Me Realise.

really short but on point. it's kinda like a combo of Isn't Anything + Loveless but poppier.

gmku 03.16.2012 12:29 PM

Nice. I'll have to watch for that. A record store visit is planned for next week!
