I don't play as much as I could, but yeah I have a light blue Mexican made Strat that I got in 7th grade because it reminded me of the one Billy Corgan played.....ha ha.

I also have a really nice electric-acoustic Ibanez that I'm not even sure of the model. I bought it a few years ago for like 375, but I got a really good deal on it because my bandmate worked at the music store and got stuff for pretty much what the store paid.....I think they were selling it for 790 or so.

Yep, I have two basses with active, and I find myself always fiddling with the tone knobs trying to get a better sound. Also passive pickups have a better low end when you play really high notes.

my almighty lefty purple Squier Strat. i had an Ibanez humbucker from my friend's guitar put in the neck.

Hey, if anyone wants guitar stickers made, I can probably include them in the next mix swap and the host can send them off. I can do them for free because my college program has all the material. Just send over the picture and let me know where you want it.

I plan to do my entire guitar soon!

'92/'93 Fender Telecaster Standard. Just got it second hand for a really good price.

My other guitar is a Strat rip off, that is the exact same as a strat but it doesn't sound as good. I've bought some nice Fender pickups off Ebay and am hoping to fit them on. Then I'm buying Fender everything and making it a Strat. By the end of the year, I am hoping to own a Fender Mustang and a Jazzmaster by the end of the year.

Gear:
Shitty Practise Amp
Ebow
Electro Harmonix Big Muff Pi
Digitech Rp-80
Shitty Distortion fuzz box (That sounds pretty darn good)
Jim Dunlop Capo
Ashton Capo
And two slides of forgettable brands

king_buzzo 02.14.2007 05:17 AM

Torn Curtain 02.14.2007 02:02 PM

My 2005 CIJ Sunburst Jazzmaster:

.10/.46 strings
Mods: US RI Pickups (hence the aged-white covers that don't fit with the knobs), Mustang bridge and buzz stop (the Mustang bridge was not enough...).
Amp: VOX Valvetronix 60ADVT

king_buzzo 02.14.2007 02:08 PM

king_buzzo 02.14.2007 02:09 PM

ondskan 02.14.2007 02:21 PM

Wow nice Jazzmaster Torn Curtain, always wanted a Jazzmaster or a Jaguar.

My (actually my dads) Gibson LP, bought in 1975.

ZEROpumpkins 02.15.2007 12:20 AM

Nice, man. I like all the guitars so far. Tons of Jazzmasters and Mustangs haha.

CHOUT 02.15.2007 04:47 AM

I've sold 4 guitars lately...didn't play them much though.

musicfallinglikesnow 02.15.2007 05:14 AM

Wow! Quite impressive your guitars and basses people.
Unluckily I haven't yet scanned a photo of mine...I have a cool photo of me, my guitar and my cat.
Mine is a hand-made no-brand guitar some guy from Brazil left in a pawn music shop in downtown Buenos Aires. My ex-boyfriend took me there for me to choose.
I saw her and I instantly fell in love.
My ex tried for me to buy a green rounded one but I wanted that.
It's the same color as Tom Curtain's, I use 10 gauge (it doesn't resist much, the first string fails a little bit) and after a thorough cleaning that took me lots of time it looks real great. Three microphones, one switch that as far as I know is for cleaning the sound when you're not using distortion, a vibrato, the volume and tone knobs look like oven switches and of course you can switch between the three mics.
It has a very deep sound which I love. I'm in love with my old faulty guitar.
My gear:
A Vox distortion booster which I don't use too much because I usually get the distortion directly from the Fender Champion 75 W amp, a Boss digital delay which mixed up with a Morley Power Wah recently acquired makes a real interesting sound.
I wish I had photos guys but anyway I still don't know how to post them as you do. I cut and paste but nothing happens, I can only use the attachment thing and is often too little.
Hope you liked my friend.

lungfish 02.15.2007 04:17 PM

man i wish Rickenbackers were more affordable.
love their feel and their sound.

I own a '72 Telecaster Deluxe Reissue and play it on an old Ampeg B-100 bass amp.
Boss DS-2 as my main pedal. Pretty much my only pedal. I have a Fender Champion 25 but it's all screwed up inside, gotta get it fixed. I want a Fulltone OCD. Also have a blackGretschG2202 Electromatic bass. etc.

You're also, like, what, 16? I didn't have much then. If you can talk your parents into financing some gear where you make the monthly payments, that may help. That's how I got my Rick bass when I was your age.

That was my auction - sent it out yesterday, and gots some maaad benjamins! :p

And for the record, I traded in 4 pedals towards the super fuzz.

king_buzzo 02.16.2007 07:16 PM

i bet it was worth it.

my parents are totally against monthly payments and shit, they think its bad.

Danny Himself 02.16.2007 07:20 PM

My dad won £2000 from some personal injury case or something after some guy in a truck crashed into him. He's given me £100. Pedals!? I think so.
