everything is cruising along for the series. subscriptions will open up on 1/1 (with a reminder to the email list) and the first discs will be shipping mid-february. the first batch will be between 4 to 6 discs and will definitely contain jack rose and tom carter. it should also contain bark haze, howlin' rain and GHQ.

yes, but not yet. from their site:

"subscriptions will open on january 1, 2008 and neither payment nor reservations for the set will be taken before that time."

pokkeherrie 12.21.2007 08:25 AM

december sees sales on 1) modern containment CD sets [$63 US, $69 canada/mexico, $73 rest of world] and 2) all in-stock CDs [$5 with the purchase of any in-stock vinyl release].

well worth it, especially considering $73 is just €50 at the moment.

if anyone else here is interested in these sale sets just a reminder that the sale ends at the close of 12/31.

there's a good chance you're here to check in on / pick up your very own oscillation III CD series subscription. subscriptions are now open and the first discs are scheduled to ship in late february. this one is going to be massive with submissions from bardo pond, the bark haze, tom carter, ghq, howlin' rain, the magik markers, the michael flower band, lee ranaldo, jack rose and vanishing voice (and let's not forget the slipcase featuring new artwork from robert beatty). follow this link for more information regarding the series, ordering instructions, etc.

sonicl 01.01.2008 02:29 AM

Ordered mine! Use my money wisely, Mr Rayborn!

greenlight 01.01.2008 05:55 AM

ordered mine as well.

threelobed 01.01.2008 09:30 AM

thanks, gang. just let me know if you have any questions. the first mailing will contain either 5 or 6 discs. get ready to have all of your minds blown.

EvdWee 01.02.2008 09:44 AM

i'm in

threelobed 01.04.2008 09:39 AM

the first batch of OIII discs to be mailed around the end of february will consist of - jack rose, ghq, tom carter, the bark haze, howlin' rain and the "bonus" disc from vanishing voice. prepare to have your minds blown - this is some primo stuff.

Wipes drool from keyboard....

threelobed 02.08.2008 10:40 AM

by way of an update, we are currently estimating that the first batch of discs will be hitting the mail to subscribers about 2.5-3 weeks from now. it could be a hair earlier or later, but that's a good estimate. we are still waiting on a couple of parts to two of the releases, but we are assembling in full four of the discs tomorrow.

while i don't have the master yet, i feel safe saying that the disc is comprised of at least 2 (if not more) tracks due to some of lee's mastering requests.

threelobed 02.22.2008 05:22 PM

quick couple of updates.

1. the first batch of discs are getting ready to go out of here. we just got the slipcases and our mailing supplies in here yesterday. we are going to start assembling packages and hopefully will have everything out and about a week from now. will keep folks updated.

2. as for the folks that were curious about the lee release, it's really cool, interesting stuff. it is a collection of shorter length experimental selections with a variety of instrumentation. very, very cool stuff.

sonicl 02.22.2008 05:24 PM

Yee-ha! (on both counts)

The Bark Haze CD was recoded at issue project room by Andrew Kesin on January 19 2007.

Moshe 03.04.2008 04:58 AM

Just heard the Bark Haze and it is a killer recording. Much more intense and violent than previous releases. It has that early SY/Confusion is Sex/Heavy Winged vibe. Make sure to pick up that one. It even got a picture of Merzbow (the dog that is) on the sleeve.

sonicl 03.04.2008 05:03 AM

We don't like show-offs around these parts, Mr Moshe.

PS - Could you, like, upload it somewhere? ;)

:D

Moshe 03.04.2008 05:15 AM

I think this should be in your mailbox very soon...

auto-aim 03.04.2008 06:54 AM
