Interpol is one of those bands who's singles interest me but the other tracks bore me to death coupled with lame lyrics (I can ignore them on the singles). Also Obstacle 1 and Evil are too fucking similar.

I love all of it, i liked Antic's loads!, i thought that was a great song.
My favourite ever Interpol song would have to be "stella was a diver and she was always down"

Great choice, I like obstacle 2 a lot.
NYC has a nice riff too.

i have been listening to Antics a lot, and its really a very good album! i youtube'd them and found some really great interviews and live stuff, definitely worth checking out, especially the interview done completely in french (Daniel and Paul are fluent), that was pretty impressive.

well, not always ;) ... the first minute here is a bit embarassing (then it gets better)....but they were a bit scared , probably, "network television debut". "LETTERMAN, whooo, guys we're playing letterman tonight I'm scared!" I can totally sympathize - for real.

BTW, you're right, I've seen many really nice live performances.

i can't wait to see them again this summer, i am going to stand right at the front and go completely deaf.

eh, its alright. it had good potential but its all over the place. thats just how it feels. though i really really love Rest My Chemistry. if the whole album was similar to that song, it'd be great.

Turn On The Bright Lights is just a good album.

After two listens I don't like it, in my opinion the change in their sound draws too much from Arcade Fire (and what's bad in them - the unfocused layering).

first up i like interpol, bright lights is on of the finest debut albums by anyone, anywhere ever. antics would have made a great e.p. not the perfect album evryone was looking for. with the new one i was hping to really hear interpol back to the way i like em an thats great tune after great tune but no. the new album is weak, poor uninspiring songs which really makes me believe that they are a one trick pony band. this is such a shame because they blew me away the first time i heard obstacle 1. and whats with the posing, they are getting a bit nme for my liking. but hey, its only an opinion after 5 or 6 listens to the album and i am talking comparitive to their previous work.. its not the worst album this year but it certainly aint the best......

rest my chemistry and heimlick are good tunes tho.

To be honest I kinda hope that this "leaked" version is not the final mixing, it sounds much worse than the previous records, and this does not help the songs to stand out... hmmm, I'll listen to a "proper" rip and then make up my mind about it.

i really do love Our Love To Admire, but i have listened to it over and over again like 40 times now. I think you have to let it grow on you, i didn't like it at all at first.

I loved the first album but haven't enjoyed anything by them since. TOTBLs was great because it really did stand above all of the Joy Division/Television criticisms, but after that it's as though they turned into the very thing they were being accused of.

But they are soo good looking!!!! Looooooooooooook!!!!!!
