shame because it was a good match and chelsea certainly didnt deserve to out on penos. but why does a player of the calibre of drogba resort to diving sooo much?

Bump-o-rama
Place your bets for tonight's game!
My two cents: if Dida won't play like a muppet and MU does not score in the first half, Milan can win and get the ticket to Greece.
By the way, I'll still support Liverpool for the final victory.

atari 2600 05.02.2007 11:38 AM

I'm pulling for AC Milan. Whether or not they win is another matter. They lost last week, so it's a must-win, right?

Isn't Milan's Kaká still the champions league leader in goals?
Man Utd's C. Ranaldo is a capable defender and offensive threat as well.

Ronaldo Vs. Kaka
The battle royale for superiority between these to geniuses of the game has yet to reach it's zenith. Both of them played their roles at Old Trafford, perhaps Kaka a little more decisively, but the lime-light was stolen from them by a spectacular Wayne Rooney.
The Englishman was the cynosure of most eyes come the end of that game, but has since been quick to deflect pressure away from himself, suggesting that Kaka and Ronaldo were the two decisive players.
What makes this battle more exciting is that whoever wins it could be the odds on favourite to win the Golden Ball. Chelsea's defeat has virtually ruled Drogba out of the running, given that Chelsea are unlikely to win the Premiership. Steven Gerrard will be a factor if he lifts his second Champions League trophy in three weeks' time, but he remains an outsider. La Liga has not thrown up any specials this season either, with Ronaldinho far from his best, and Eto'o and Messi injured for most of the season.
Under the circumstances, this is a direct fight for the big award, one which Ronaldo has an early lead in thanks to his role in Manchester United's Premiership campaign. But if Milan can win this and then the final, it should be Kaka's barring a surprise!

Both tend to facilitate control of the football for their respective teams with their outstanding midfielder abilities.

Maybe it takes a Red-Black D to halt a bulldog Rooney Red Devil.

hmm, here's the handicap (so to speak)

Yep to both, Ronaldo (milan's Ronaldo) can't play in champions league's matches coz he already played with real madrid in this league and it's not permitted to play for different teams in the same CL.
The second goal scored by kakŕ last week was amazing:

Rooney is a great and fast player, but imo kakŕ has a superior elegance (maybe he's the player with the most beautiful style, and i'm not speaking of ronaldinho's amazing tricks, just of pure useful playing style).

HECKLER SPRAY 05.02.2007 12:40 PM

As an italian team, Milan will try to score only one goal and defend all the rest of the match. And they've got too maany oldies in this team.
I hate Italians footballers, they're all deceitful like Materazzi !!!
And I know I'm spiteful, don't blame me.

atari 2600 05.02.2007 12:41 PM

Milan's Ronaldo (the legend) has scored 7 goals in 11 starts this year for the Red-Black. Not to shabby for an old guy. It'd be nice to have him as a striker substitute towards the end of the match today.

HECKLER SPRAY 05.02.2007 12:46 PM

If his legs don't let go during the match.

PAULYBEE2656 05.02.2007 12:52 PM

milan to scrape it by sticking in an early goal.. paul scholes gets 2 yellows in the space of 5 minutes at the end of the first half. man u loose the plot but pull a goal back only to have milan respond immediatly. ronaldo (c) falls over a lot and finally ends up carded for diving and having the ability to fool the entire world that he is a great footballer. man u get 2 dodgy penalty desicions (ranaldo dives probably) turned away and in the final throws of the match, milan seals it with a goal stemming from a poor linesman call, missing a blatant handball....................

go on milan, make work tomorrow a quiet and peaceful place with no man u fans shouting stupid things like "ranaldo is a star and championees, championees la la la la la la la la la ........."

the pool to win the final in athens by the way...

what about sunderland??? what an achievement. 2nd from bottom not too long ago, roy keane (irish boy of course) takes over as manager and blam, they are promoted to premiership footy for next season!!! amazing achievement!!! sunderland v man u will beone to watch next year!!!!!

and spurs for the european place!!!!

for sonicl....

nicfit 05.02.2007 12:58 PM

^^^ ranaldo? Lapsus!

sonicl 05.02.2007 01:24 PM

I'm hoping for a Milan victory this evening, purely because I don't want either Liverpool or Man Utd to win the Champions League.

Yes, I really am that petty.

atari 2600 05.02.2007 01:41 PM

Like nicfit explained, he (Ronaldo - AC Milan -S) isn't allowed to play.

Typical ridiculously petty Chelsea wanker. Are you José Mourinho in disguise?

atari 2600 05.02.2007 02:50 PM

Perfect weather for Rooney to do one of his little celebratory slides; but alas, Wayne has no goals.

Kaká really drilled that one in with his left...Van Der Saar is under attack today!

Пятхъдесят Шест 05.02.2007 02:57 PM

Looking like a 2005 rematch...

atari 2600 05.02.2007 03:48 PM

yep, now it is for sure...

Manchester just had too many players in foul trouble, I suppose. Christiano Ronaldo couldn't get it done either.

Dida played okay at goal for Milan and Van Der Saar played well also, as always. It's just that his team didn't offer the needed support.

nicfit 05.02.2007 03:52 PM

Ha! Now I'll be happy no matters who will win the final, but I'll be HAPPIER if Liverpool will win. Yay! Kakŕ is a monster.
