Man I still skate sometimes. Not as much...
What music does everyone listen to while ridin

SonikJesus 05.29.2009 10:48 PM

I don't listen to anything while riding. I don't want to eat shit and break my $100 headphones. i should look around the house for some of those cheap ipod headphones.

ZEROpumpkins 05.29.2009 11:48 PM

I use the in-ear style earphones, which is bad when you're on the street but good when you wanna block out the outside noise and just skate. Hip-hop suits my pace because I'm not too speedy, I just cruise around haha.

uhler 05.30.2009 12:56 AM

i still skate.

the gonz is my favorite along with ed templeton and mike carroll. girl is my favorite skate company.

In high school, I would hang out with skaters but never skated myself. I can appreciate tricks and shit, though. Like freshman year in college, my friend and I just watched tons of skate movies.

I don't like Mullen either. I think it's sicker to see someone hammer a noseblunt down a 15-set rail than to see him do a casper to wheelie 3 flip out or something like that.

SonikJesus 06.02.2009 01:32 AM

Yeah, the shit he does is great technically but a bit boring to me. He basically only skates flatland. If he did his tricks over gaps and on rails then that would be pretty amazing.

a cool little video from an old 411.

my first (real) deck was flameboy II, yes there was once so few flameboys they bothered numbering them.

people make fun of chad muska for being a wigger or whatever but he killed shit, if you play tony hawk's pro skater i know at least two of these spots are in the game

I think Gonz is quite fond of Coconut Records as he skates to Nighttiming on his Naughty part too.

also really dig jeremy wray and simon woodstock. not sure if they are even skating anymore these days....last i heard (it was rumoured) that simon went on to be some christian/youth minister. < something to that effect.

always loved his (simon's) clown(y) antics...he had a unique style, too. not the most complex skater, but certainly very imaginative...all that milk crate slidin' shit.

my fav video of all time was toy machine's "welcome to hell". i hear they arent what they used to be....but toy machine used to have one HELL OF A FUCKED UP team...those dudes were great. ed t. + mike maladonado...

saw some recent footage of ed. he didnt appear to be what he once was (not as good), but i was still happy that he was skating.

haha...im old. around the time i quit skateboarding zoo york was a relatively new company.

when i started, everyone swore alien workshop was the best.

man...i feel like skating. maybe ill cruise around tomorrow.

yeah i heard that simon woodstock was a youth pastor too. my favorite company was girl and still is. my first deck ever was a stereo though.

the new alien workshop video is pretty fab. probably my favorite video since fully flared. anyone see the new blind video?

i have recently had a renaisance in skateboarding, i sorta stopped for a lot of years, but now im skating almost everyday(when my ankles/knees/bodies allow me), i skate during lunch at work since there is a sick tennis court with some ledges near by.
