I'd like to see Smashing Pumpkin's Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness get reissued. Even though all the b-sides were put in a box set which I have read is out of print

Nah, disagree with that one. That album sounds just right for the music it is.

The box set is worth a bit now, I sold mine for $25 and I could have got $40 if I'd gone to the trouble of ebaying it.

so fucking what? they have, you haven't

i rather go deaf from duct-taping my head to my guitar amp while five distortion pedals are running thru than from listening to destiny's child or black eyed peas doing their vocal faux orgasms for a mere five seconds.

but if that's what you like...hey, who am i to argue?. now go wait for the flying suacers or go jump some couch on oprah

No shit? You could really pull 40 bucks or so for it? I still have mine and would gladly rip the cd's and sell it. I haven't even listened to it this century.

The world needs The Feelies again. Especially me, cause I can't find it on CD anywhere.

YES!!!! THE SWIRLIES ROCK!!!! BlonderTongueAudioBaton could benefit from a remastering. Oh, and Loveless, but I doubt Shields will ever get up and do it. Fuck Yeah.

DemonBox 05.11.2006 02:51 AM

A good ol' remaster of The Gun Club - Fire Of Love would be nice. With outtakes, live tracks and demos. And I would also like to see a re-issue of the Gun Club - Lucky Jim.

Girls at our Best - Pleasure
Shop Assistants - Will Anything Happen

On the rare occasions that I've seen these on sale it's been for ridiculous prices.

If you've not already got the Early Warning 2xCD on Sympathy For The Record Industry, you may find that that satisfies your need for Fire of Love demos, etc.

I'm not sure what this'll link to, but when I googled the album title it was one of the results: www.sympathyrecords.com/catalogue/pages2/SFTRI478.html

Ditto. I love my copy so much I'm afraid to take it out and play it. I made a tape the first day I had it and I don't think I've played the actual LP since.

No crap!! I finally found someone to make me a decent CD-R copy of Crazy Rhythms, but I'd love a "real" copy, either on CD or LP (or both!). I recently found The Good Earth and an EP in the used bins (on vinyl--Twin Tone's Coyote label), but I definitely think their whole catalog needs to be reissued. They were an amazing band, and it just floors me that their stuff has been unavailable for years.

That's on my list as well. I have a decent CD-R, but again, nothing like having a nice real pressing or well-packaged CD. I did find Miami on vinyl (blue!) and that's an amazing Lp as well.

All of the Husker Du catalog.

I bought a brand-new, sealed 2xLP copy of Double Nickels last month. It's even on the SST label. I had to special order it, and it took about a month to arrive at the store, but it's a perfect copy, complete with those 3 songs that were deleted for the CD.

Ya know, I just picked this one up, too--new CD. I think the poor audio you're talking about is part of the production philosophy--that is, I think it sounds "bad" on purpose, lo-fi, in other words.

Inhuman 06.29.2006 09:27 AM

Be nice if " Dr. Dre Presents...The Aftermath" got rereleased
