Dinosaur Jr. reissue "Bug" on cassette via Joyful Noise!

http://www.joyfulnoiserecordings.com/news/81

The Watcher 06.07.2011 08:11 AM

Hahaha that video was quite funny.....

I think Dino Jr are great and the last two albums excellent but the Witch band is total dogshit...... So boring........ And I usually like that of thing.......

Jeremy 06.07.2011 03:38 PM

Why reissue it on cassette? It just seems like a waste of money to reproduce it. I can't imagine anybody really buying it to warrant the reissue.

Derek 06.07.2011 03:40 PM

Cassettes are awesome.

Also: "Bug" cassettes can be ordered for $12 here: [sold out]

The Watcher 06.07.2011 03:43 PM

Cassettes are hot now again....... Personally I love them......... but I don't need to buy a cassette of a CD I already have, which is why their a novelty.........

I blame the whole "Hipster kids wanting to be cool and live in a time machine to prove they're unique" bullshit.

But like you said, people already own this on CD (Early and remaster versions) and half of those or more own it on vinyl. Are cassette really called for?

No.

The Watcher 06.07.2011 04:54 PM

Blaming "hipsters" is a fucking cop out man........ 2011

Derek 06.07.2011 04:59 PM

Jeremy obviously doesn't follow noise or drone music.

The Watcher 06.07.2011 05:16 PM

I actually got 4 cassettes in the mail today...... but they were all death metal....... but I agree Derek, most of the ambient drone stuff I buy is on cassette and frankly I like it that way........

stu666 06.07.2011 05:46 PM

i still buy and listen to lots of tapes. i've got some that are nearly 20 years old and they sound great in my car. tapes defintely rule!

Pelle 06.08.2011 04:44 PM

The only albums i've listened to are the st one and whatever's cool with me.

Really good band :)
