Can I get an AMEN? |
I love Babes in Toyland. Kat's screams can send shivers down my spine and Lori is an awesome drummer.

Lori is an awesome drummer, I love it. |
Lori has a unique drumming style. I love the fact that she uses her floor tom than any other drummer.

Me. Well not as much as you I guess because they aren't even in my top 10, but I love them a lot anyway. Fontanelle is a complete masterpiece as is Spanking Machine and To Mother. I still need to and really want to hear Intermenstral and Kat Hjelland's other band (which I forget the name of right now.) |
Katastrophy Wife?

Yeah that's it. I only found out about it's existence a few months ago, but I'll get to it. |
I think I'm going to check out Fontanelle. I came so close to buying it the other day...I've been listening to Bruise Violet a lot and I think it's an awesome song. That Katastrophy Wife album is really good... Gone Away is a kickass opener. And also Anathema with it's awesome screaming rocks my world.

It's unfortunate the series of events that have transpired over the last few years with Babes in Toyland, definately things that made me lose lots of respect for Kat.
|
I am also guilty of only hearing the punk broke video song, so I dont know. Any suggestions?

I have a disc that was released on Fuel records that has a shit-load of live & previously unreleased material. But, it has been out for some time. I could upload that for ya', if you'd like.
|
Nobody mentioned Nemesisters. Don't be afraid of it.....it's not quite as solid as their others, but it is still Babes In Toyland and good. I still rock my Nemesisters t-shirt religiously.
|
yeah, that would be awesome.
anyway you could hold the link until tomorrow cause I have to get off for the night. |
I loved them in high school, saw them quite a few times. I still like them, but don't listen to them much anymore.
|
SRC: Sure thing. I had some other shit to upload for people anyway, but it's no problem. I'm glad I could help out.

i love love kat and babes. kat is a babe.
|
I like them ok... they serve as one of my first band memories. I was like 17 and within seconds of them taking the stage I took a steel toe doc martin to the head from a crowd surfer and was pushed to the back of the room. Pretty sweet.
|
I owned one of the band's albums once, but I can't remember which one it was.
|
found the ticket...
