Katy 09.08.2009 12:28 AM

Didn't like it any more the second time. Could have been much much worse though.

atsonicpark 09.08.2009 01:06 AM

Yeah, that one "Phantom" (if you've seen that one) and the last one, with the Polaroid pictures, is definitely the best.

I'm also a huge fan of Shuji Terayama, if you're unfamiliar with him.

Charlie Bucket represents alcohol. Mike Teevee represents hallucinogens. Veruca Salt represents cocaine. Violet Beauregard represents amphetamines. Augustus Gloop represents marijuana.

I've seen a few shorts of Shuji Terayama, and 'Throw away your books,Go out into the streets!',which is well worthy of a watch,if you've not seen it,not seen 'Emperor of Tomato Ketchup'. Think i'll watch 'Pastoral:To Die in the Country' pretty soon...

atsonicpark 09.08.2009 05:09 AM

ah, you should check out his "experimental image world" series if you get a chance, it's like 5 volumes.
they're all on ubu.com if you can access hthat site.

i almost had a star trek wet dream the other night i think, but i couldn't get the girl to make out with me. in my dreams? that's not supposed to happen i don't think. i came to work like normal, but for some reason my boss was this incedibly attractive woman i created. she was explaining a bunch of bull shit to me then she said they were going to have to fire me. i asked her why, and she said some more bullshit, then she told me i gave over the entire alpha quadrant to the federation without even putting up a fight, and now starfleet has control of everything. i explained to her that i like starfleet and i asked her what she would have done. she told me i was fired again and i tried to get her to make out with me, but she wouldn't do it. then i thought she was a shapeshifter and i called her out on it and asked her to turn into a giant tit. she said she was not a shapeshifter. then i asked her just to give me one kiss and she told me to get out of her office. i think this was the first i ever tried to do something with a girl in a dream and she wouldn't go for it. i can't figure it out.

^I hated Nightbreed. So much. The fucking makeup. Ugh.

Shifty Prophet 09.08.2009 08:09 PM

This at the theater. Funny as shit, I loved it and would easily pay the 1.50 to see it again.

atsonicpark 09.08.2009 11:43 PM

I kinda don't want to see Funny People because it's 2 1/2 hours long. Of Adam Sandler. I mean, I'm an open minded person, and I will admit that the trailer looks good but that is reeeeeally long for a comedy, especially one that is filled with Sandler and probably lots of other people I don't like.

alteredcourse 09.08.2009 11:50 PM

What do you mean by open minded, besides able to sit through an Adam Sandler movie in 2009?

Shifty Prophet 09.08.2009 11:59 PM

All I can say is it isn't a typical Sandler movie and the jokes, dialogue, guest appearances and cameo's made this one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. If you can remeber when Adam Sandler made albums of comedy, well thats more of what he is like in this movie.

fugazifan 09.09.2009 06:59 AM

yeah i was pleasantly suprised by funny people. its a bit long, but it flows well. and it really is not the typical summe rflick. there is actually depth behind the character and n interesting plot.
and really good acting

The Living and the Dead

A good film with a solid performance by Leo Bill.

atsonicpark 09.09.2009 08:05 AM

small white house - 7/10

one of the weirdest, if not THE weirdest, films i've ever seen. no info on it whatsoever on the internet besides one review on imdb. got it from stumpydisks.

BubbleBill 09.09.2009 08:12 AM

LOVED it!

Really?
What was so bad about it?

I, on the other hand, would kill for a sequel.

atsonicpark 09.09.2009 09:11 AM

Some nights I strip down to a long skirt or pants with no top or bra, and I sit outside with a beer watching the cars pass. If they slow down or stop, I go inside, lock my door, and draw a pencil line on a piece of paper to count tally. Tonight there are already three tallies for stop, six tallies for slowed down, and one tally for ‘propositioning me’. I feel like an exhibitionist, and I know it’s dangerous…but the desert eagle strapped to my upper thigh, hidden under my skirt billows, reassures me that I’ll be fine and dandy. Safe fun is fun fun……as long as it’s safe for me.

I just found the makeup and acting to be so silly. I mean considering its Barker peers of the time (Hellraiser, Candyman -- two brilliant, and actually scary films) I found Nightbreed to be really stupid.

atsonicpark 09.09.2009 09:57 AM

Yeah, Nightbreed sucks.
