Unfortunately you have discovered that there is not one lens for all. 100 is not necessarily too tight for indoors, depends how you use it. Maybe go for a more general zoom lens if you are not sure of what you will.use it for or if yoh want more flexibilty. A.24-70 or 105 are both great lenses to have look for appropriate focal length for a cropped sensor.
