full on. I love driving in valleys and mountains and seein' 'murica!
going and coming back require a one night stay in Amarillo TX.

Oh, and I love hot springs, and our hotel does not have AC because the temps rarely make it above 75......

I believe George Strait wrote a song about that......driving is my favorite as it makes for the BEST memories!

Speaking of hot springs, have you been to the ones in, Arkansas? My wife has been talking about making a "mountain / hike trip" and I was thinking about Arkansas or Tennessee.

I have not been to the springs in Arkansas. I wanted to go but never had the chance. I have gone to ones in Wyoming that were awesome.

I hate Pink Floyd. most boring band ever!!!! hate them. think they suck!!!! besides the song "Wish you were Here", which is a nice Stones-esque ballet. sometimes I find myself trying to listen to them. esp. in the past year or so.

most of my hate comes from the above and from a white trash friend who use to love them back when we were teens. I saw him recently and he showed me a Pink Floyd tattoo he got on his chest. I clearly remember him being an asshole that shot cats in the ear with a bb gun without bb's. he would just pump the gun full of air without it being loaded and shoot it in the cat's ear. he was also into Charles Manson and serial killers, which grossed me out. his parents used to buy us alcohol when teens too, but he showed me the White Album by The Beatles very young....so I give him credit for that.....

...so, that and coupled by the fact Pink Floyd are boring studio yuppies. I even find Syd Barrett boring and unworthy of anything because of that guy...... though the Madcap Laughs was a fav for about a month after I bought it up until said friend, years after I heard it, said he liked it.

but maybe I would've never like the band regardless. I can't make up my mind or figure it out. I just think they're crap no matter how many bands they inspired or how many time I've tried to dig them.

I just ran across the mix you made us this weekend (all of my cds are in boxes). it's set for immediate car rotation!

mah new doggy...sort of. The new family dog. I'm watching him and training him. His name is Elephant and he is a grreat doggy. He's so GOOD!

I think people are getting nicer and more acceptable to things thanks to facebook and the internet. country bumpkins are realizing there's more to their narrow world-view than the county they live in. might not be true for the bigger inner city folk who got connected in the late 90's.

I honestly believe this. and it's good for your well-being. they could do studies on this and prove it. there's def a weird paradox happening in out culture now. I can feel it.
