Found it interesting (and unfortunate) that the Associated Press article this morning about Notre Dame in the FIRST paragraph said the city was “recently rocked by violent demonstrations.” Only at the end of the article was there mention of the large amount of old dry wood in the structure and the presence of old flammable wood preservatives (they actually used resin and olive oil) and the use of cutting torches.

it is called "code switching" Black and Latino people switch from the language they use around white folks to try and stave off their goddamn racism and jingoism ("proper" English), to the speech patterns and vocalizations that are used in their respective communities.
