A few other releases this year I've had a chance to listen to are Girls - Album which I haven't heard very many times but it seemed alright. Dan Deacon's latest is awesome as to be expected. Same with Wavves.

atsonicpark 10.16.2009 02:24 AM

Yeah, Deacon's was mindblowing.

GROUP DOEH fuck yeah fugazi.

Jeremy 10.16.2009 04:30 AM

I really like the new A Place To Bury Strangers record Exploding Head. Anybody else dig it?

Has Bill Orcutt's ''New Ways To Pay Old Debts'' been mentioned yet? It's really, really great, strongly recommended. I was going to also get the ''High Waisted/Big Ass Nails'' 7'' but it's been sold out for a while.

I haven't heard the new one. Totally agree, Sublime Frequencies are a kickass record label.

have you or anyone heard the "Princess Nicotine Folk And Pop Sounds Of Myanmar (Burma) Vol. 1" album? the first song off it called bo hein i think, is the most fucked up extreme pop song ive ever heard i think. i need to go to burma. i probably cant though, because of my israeli passport.

atsonicpark 10.16.2009 05:29 AM

Princess Nicotine is one of my all time favorite releases. So good. Inspiring.

Yeah that's an amazing record. If you get the chance, also check out the ''Voice Over The Bridge In India'' which came out earlier this year on the EarthSync label. Good stuff.

I just got Pop Crimes, the new album by Rowland S Howard. I was expecting something really good, and it surpassed my expectations. Really amazing.

vacuum noise 10.23.2009 12:59 AM

Im sure its been mentioned, but Magik Markers "balf quarry" FUCKING AMAZING ALBUM

atsonicpark 10.23.2009 01:03 AM

Actually, believe it or not, I don't think anyone's mentioned it.

Heh.

Decayed Rhapsody 10.23.2009 11:43 AM

It'd be great if the Markers didn't actually suck. I'm still holding out that Elisa will abandon her super cool I-can't-play-for-shit stage and maybe learn 3 chords and stop devolving into poorly conceptualized performance art interludes live.

I'm gonna check out that Roland S. Howard album. Been listening to a horde of Birthday Party boots.
