Overrated as heck. Try Seefeel's Quique... or Little Richard's The Georgia Peach!

Good luck getting that on CD, it'd probably be worth it though (better than my archive.org MP3s). There's Isn't Anything on sale at my local entertainment store though, so it's possible.

As much as I hate to agree with him, Soup Nazi's right, it's overrated. Has some moments, but it's definitely the worst of the big three gaze records. (Although the only one I own on CD)

Haha, I picked that up at the second-hand record store here! :D

Please stop saying "gaze". It's a backasswards, dated no-label.

_tunic_ 02.13.2020 11:06 AM

Natalie Merchant's 10CD Deluxe collection boxset
Too bad the live album is not included, but for the rest it's great

Furthermore I got some (well, 24 is more than just some) albums from Silber Records in their warehouse bargain deal. Many artists I've never heard of, so I'm curious if anyone knows and likes them:

Aarktica - In sea
Origami arktika - Vardogr
The land of nod - Mont ventoux
Aarktica - No solace in sleep
Small life form - One
Remora - Scars bring hope
Moodring - Scared at ferret
Remora - Enamored
Twelve - Be careful what you don't wish for
Hotel.hotel - allheroesareforeverbold
Lotte kestner - China mountain
Alan sparhawk- solo guitar (already have this, should have told him but I didn't so well)
Vlor - Six-winged
Chvad SB - Crickets were the compass
Demain - a Silber Records sampler
Electric bird noise - the Silber sessions
Carta - The glass bottom boat
Aarktica - In sea remixes
Philip polk palmer - Here are the deadlights
Hotel hotel - the sad sea
Mwvm - Rotations
Kobi - Dronesyndrome
If thousands - i have nothing
If thousands - Lullaby

I listened to If Thousands before but don't recall which album. Picking Lullaby to listen to first because the titles together tell a story

Savage Clone 02.13.2020 06:58 PM

I played several shows with If Thousands back when. Really cool guys, great sounds.

I was digging through the tapes at a local store, nothing nothing nothing, moving boxes to get to the bottom rows. WHOA SEAN MCCANN SPLIT! (seth graham on the b) hadn't heard of it before. i literally skipped to the register in glee.

i get to the car to pop it in. turns out it's on my local boy's Orange Milk Records! I was all like what? and then I relearned he put out McCann's Open Resolve in like 2010, lol.

great tape! McCann is the fucking shit. big fan. I'm trying to get him to come play here at this venue/workshop series thing I'm in. he said he would write a piece just for us! unfortuneatly he didn't write back when I said we can only offer $800. :(
maybe 2022! (we have to plan far ahead. grants. we non profit)

NYCgaf16 03.04.2020 03:22 PM

Chelsea Light Moving vinyl arrived today.

LifeDistortion 04.11.2020 08:57 AM

I've raved about Nada here before and I'll continue to give her praise. This is the third album of hers I've bought and its amazing. For those who don't know her, she's an Italian singer. I first heard a song by her "Ma che freddo fa", featured in the french horror movie Raw. Since hearing that song, I've bought three of her albums, with this one being the latest. She's become one of my favorite singers.

NYCgaf16 04.11.2020 11:36 AM

i bought mudhoney's self-title some time ago and it came today

g. 04.11.2020 01:05 PM

Kevin Parker to me reeks of douchebagness, like that Father John Misty or summat.

That's it, pack it up. Irony has once again died.

NYCgaf16 05.20.2020 01:15 AM

i ended up with slow rush

Bertrand 05.20.2020 06:11 AM

Records stores, libraries, re-opened last week.
I went back there to pick:
Destroyer - Here We Met
Big Joanie - Sistahs (I like it)
It It Anita -bLAurent
Girl Band - The Talkies
Corridor -Junior

Severian 05.20.2020 07:12 AM

That new Tame Impala record was just very mediocre through and through.

You know what’s not, though?
The new Cindy Lee album, “What’s Tonight to Eternity?”
… goddamn great.

I use to like the first 2 LP's, y' nar the ones with the edgy loner vibes. Now he's a pop crooning millionaire singing about how it's so much better not being a loner anymore directly and simultaneously taking a massive dump on his back catalogue.

Just ordered The Fragile on triple vinyl. Cost me $90 once shipping and the exchange rate was bought in, but it is one of my faves so when it gets here in the end...

judgement_kazzy 05.23.2020 07:58 PM

I haven't bought albums in a while, i think the last one was Melody's Echo Chamber's self titled or a digital download of SECT's self titled

I admire your determination!

So no big record store somewhere within Australia to order from?

I didn't do much looking around, honestly - I got an email from the NIN website about a sale they were having so I just went straight there.

There would possibly have been ways to get it from Australia, but shipping still would've sucked and they'd be less guaranteed, I think.
