What are you talking about? There is no stream of new people and the regulars are getting bored as fuck with this place which is why it's pretty dead most of the time.

Also, no one wants to actually discuss music anymore or at least music that isn't the typical bullshit you'd expect a Sonic Youth forum to listen to. I've made countless music threads and my only response in all of them has been atsonicpark saying "yeah cool band dude!".

Speaking of which, atsonicpark was the best poster here and now he doesn't post, so what hope is there.

precisely. discussing music on here hasn't been interesting in years. i think last time i happened to read something that genuinely interested me was in 2007 or thereabout. the only posters i have a constant discussion with are glice and nefeli, but they're actual friends now, so I don't relate to them as internet people. and, obviously, melly, who's a person i see so much of, the only times we mention this forum is to have a light-hearted giggle about something that has been written on it in the past. there are also people like nicfit, slavo, jenn and shabba, who i interact with on facebook more than syg now, so there's no need to make an effort on the main forum anymore. two posters i relate to musically are decayed rapsody and loubarret because they seem to be into bands i'm into and are seldom mentioned on this dump. the rest of you, go home and die.

terminal boredom had some interesting discussion at one point. last time I checked it was dull and full of tedious trolls. or americans, for wanting of a better word. hipinion used to be good. now it's the same old
crap non-stop. open to all forums for music nerds are slowly dying because 90 % of music nerds suck.
