viewtiful, Do you haveDEDICATION 2? It's f'ing amazing. That and CARTER II were the ones that made me obsessed. But DEDICATION 2 has so much great stuff on it. Like "South Muzik." Agh! And his version of "What You Know?"! So great.

viewtiful_alan 09.22.2008 08:26 AM

I dont have it yet but I need to get it : /.
The best of the mixtapes i assume?

noisereductions 09.22.2008 08:32 AM

I probably have like 10 of his mixtapes or so. It's definitely one of my favorites.

Also recomended: "The Drought Is Over 4" and "None Higher"

viewtiful_alan 09.22.2008 08:42 AM

I only have dedication.
does 2 still have dj drama yelling "gangsta greezys" OFF KEY! at random points in every song... cuz on dedication Wayne will be awesome, and then that comes out of no where and almost kills it.

noisereductions 09.22.2008 09:01 AM

Unfortunately Drama can't do anything without yelling too loud over the top. So yes.

viewtiful_alan 09.22.2008 09:02 AM

Ugh... oh well, these songs are so great that I can over look it.. barely.
Is there any sort of guide to which mixtapes are "legit" and not just homemade redundancies?

noisereductions 09.22.2008 09:10 AM

not a comprehensive one. the wiki entry for Lil Wayne does a pretty good job of listing legit ones. But really not too thorough.

viewtiful_alan 09.22.2008 09:12 AM

Are there any good mixtapes of the guest appearances?

noisereductions 09.22.2008 09:25 AM

hmm. Good question. MOST of the mixtapes I've come across are generally just outtakes/remixes. I'll keep my ear to the ground for ya, man.

viewtiful_alan 09.22.2008 09:27 AM

Thanks man : p.
Im semi surprised there isnt a comprehensive wayne fan site about this sort of thing.

noisereductions 09.22.2008 09:43 AM

No kidding!

He has sooooo many mixtapes to sort thru. It is tough. I try to stay away from things that are obvious fanmade hodgepodges. Generally I'll pick it up if I know it's made by Wayne OR if it's something attainable at a major store then I'll figure it's probably semi-legit or at least good quality.

viewtiful_alan 09.22.2008 10:05 AM

Same here.
Eh I'm sure it'll get clarified sooner or later.

so ive been in the states and i have bought a few albums. a lot of it was stuff that i had on my computer but wanted the real thing, some of it wasnt though.
i got:
SCG-youre never a lone with a cigarette
sir richard bishop-poytheistic fragments (definatly his weakest album, but it was cheap and he is my favorite, and his better albums are harder to find)
fuck buttons-street horsing
goslings-spaceheater/perfect interior
charamlabides-joy shapes
james blackshaw-sunshrine
a collection called-masters of old time country autoharp. its really good. i may upload it for those interested. i just have to figure out how to UL. and it might only be in a few days
mission of burma-signals calls and marches

i also bought dvds of these movies
once upon a time in the west
the wickerman (1973)
time bandits

i love the USA
