Toilet & Bowels 08.11.2006 07:41 AM

i wish he'd just grow some balls. not that i want to start liking his music but people often tell me i look like him (i don't) and then they get offended when i don't take it as a compliment.

porkmarras 08.11.2006 07:52 AM

I was pretty blind drunk when i met you Toilette but i don't remember you looking anything like Thom Yorke(and why the letter H between the T and the O?Why?).And you are lucky for that.

Toilet & Bowels 08.11.2006 08:00 AM

yeah, it's bad enoughthat people say i look like him, but then he is also called by a rubbish version of my name.

porkmarras 08.11.2006 08:05 AM

I've never met a decent human being called Thom(Thom?) so therefore i am convinced of the inexistence of such a variation of your name.

It's magnificent. I recommend it very highly to fans of Melvins and general sludgecore/metal.

just got it in the mail today, and i love it. it's insane -- they'll go from this bizarre, trippy, beat-driven noise to ambient, atmospheric, eno-ish skronk in no time. plus if you get the US version of tri repetae++ they throw in the garbage and anvil vapre EPs. so yeah, definitely recommended.

Torn Curtain 08.15.2006 08:43 AM

Joan As Police Woman - Real Life (awesome singing from Joan Wasser on it)
Thom Yorke - The Eraser

Just returned home with the Back On Black LP reissue of "Deathcrush" by Mayhem. Great rawness from 1987, and so glad I didn't have to pay a small fortune to have it on vinyl.

Iain 08.16.2006 06:49 PM

I think I already mentioned buying it, but I recieved The No Neck Blues Band Meet the Clear People With Mystery Gypped Live at Kens Electric Lake in the post yesterday. It is really quite fantastic. I had downloaded it ages but didn't really listen to it in the hope that I might, one day, get a copy...and I did.

Spookie, don't tell me that you don't sing along to The Only Ones now!!!

Pookie 08.17.2006 03:58 AM

Only the one song. Have you heard any others? Shocking stuff.

Savage Clone 08.17.2006 05:41 AM

That first album has a lot of great songs on it.
The first tune has some sax in it that I can't endorse, but there's a lot of great pop music on that album if you ask me.
They are considerably poppier than I usually go for, but I have to admit I enjoy them. They were all very talented musicians.

Pookie 08.17.2006 06:20 AM

Nothing wrong with a bit of sax if used wisely.

Norma J 08.17.2006 06:23 AM

Definitely nothing wrong with abit of sax. Plenty of sax is good too.

porkmarras 08.17.2006 06:24 AM

Sax is fine if (as spookie already pointed out)it's used wisely.

gmku 08.17.2006 04:11 PM

I had to buy another fucking copy of this dark masterpiece today becuz guess what somebody stole my precious original copy from 1979 damn them.

Anyway, only 2 bucks for a used "promotional copy" LP at the used record store.

I love this fucking album to death.
