"A recent port of call was a clothes store down the King's Road where Syd tried on three vastly different sizes of trousers, claimed that all of them fitted him perfectly..."

Brilliant.

yes. yes it is. i've been listening to it quite a bit lately coincidentally.

i'm full of prime rib. i'm just glad i ate today, but i'm super glad that it was both bad for me and delicious.

I think more songs about building and food is my favorite talking heads album. I don't really buy into remain in light all that much, past side one.

I can't complain about a weekend when I've discovered the best brew pub I've ever been in, have food in the fridge, loads of free time with no responsibilities, beautiful weather, a doggie who loves me, and a wife who though thousands of miles away still loves me and whom I will see shortly.

Is this heaven? No, it's Asheville.

I bought that fucker the day it came out knowing nothing about it, just on a whim, based on loving the cover art. Probably the best album impulse buy I've ever made.

i adore that city with my heart, brain & gonads.

I have never been there. I probably never will be. Much as the place fascinates me, I don't think I'll ever get the chance to be there either on business or on vacation. My wife is a-feared of it, so I doubt we'll ever visit. Damn her, anyway.
