Sonic Youth Gossip - What are you playing?

All in all, I prefer Streets of Rage 3 in every way -- the music is way more awesome (despite being "abrasive".. it really exploited the Genesis sound chip for all it was worth, the songs were actually really really long and complex -- brilliant!); you gert to play as Shiva, Roo, and Ash in the Japanese version.. all the special moves, when you get the star and use a 6-button controller.. plus the weapons have special moves! Like you can do a special move with a sword when playing as Axel. So badass! Also, I love the elevator level on this one, too (elevator levels are always my favorite) cuz you can just throw EVERYONE off, haha.

Ive read an interview from the composer (I always forget his name, hahaha) where he said that he didnt actually "wrote" the songs for SoR3, instead of that he programmed kind of a generator which will randomly generate machine-like music with parameters he will put into it, like notes etc.
this definately makes clear for me why and how it sounds that much different from SoR, without being too far away ?!!!!

btw I finally snatched a gameboy player for 10 bucks. what a bargain, new and unused!!! now I can safe the battery lifespan of my DS a lil bit playing too much shining soul 2, hrhrhr

I really only collect GB/GBC/GBA games, accessories, systems, etc.

Obviously I have a fair share of GameCube stuff too.

I have a small handful of Wii games.

But yeah, GB is the focus of my collecting.

there's a page for it.. just type in PERSONA 2 INNOCENT SIN ENGLISH TRANSLATION.. there ya go. it's a good translation. though i like eternal punishment a lot more.

..anyway, I turned it off and have been playing DARKSTALKERS for the dreamcast. So fucking fun. Can't believe this game was limited to 5000 copies -- getting a real copy will set you back about $300 now. Ridiculous.

all 3 games on one disc! And you get to face characters from the first game against characters from the 3rd game and whatever. whee.
