I'll never forget how nice the canapes tasted at the Sex Pistols gig I went to. Sid Vicious made them himself, apparently.

Btw just click on someone's name and go to public profile, user notes are somewhere there.
It can be an interesting exploration.

wellcharge 12.08.2009 03:45 PM

i just didn't realise you could click yr own profile

mindblowing

nicfit 12.08.2009 03:46 PM

Don't click too much your own profile, or you'll go blind!

Are our profiles sent straight to the Pentagon for evaluation?

you dont need to read simple's critique of music posts. you can just remember the time he said fleet foxes was the best of the decade and instantly, before your very eyes, his posts will disappear because your brain will skip processing them, so it will be as if he never posted at all.

Are you unhappy because I didn't namedrop the band you've been fellating over the past decade?

But that wine and cheese and stuff is all "ironic", innit?

ni'k 12.08.2009 04:07 PM

didn't you say in another thread that you were going to destroy all the wire reading pseuds? you betray how banal your own taste actually is by assuming that you are being scurrilously offensive when you say i'm namedropping or your not "pitchfork" enough for slavo. and now you start up with this bullshit conservatism - oh a gig can't be a gig if its done on a table, it's not rawk enough. and your name is keeping it simple. you are beyond a joke.

Keeping It Simple 12.08.2009 04:09 PM

ni'k clearly takes what's said on the net WAY too seriously.

Rob Instigator 12.08.2009 04:09 PM

fuck I hate the goddamn FLEET FOXES. fuck! I hated that shit when it was called the Byrds, or Crosby Stills & Nash. fuck that shit sucks so BAD. I paid $18 for a vinyl of their LP based purely on chance and I fucking gave it away, GAVE IT AWAY! Not even a trade! I coud not get that tripe out of my house fast enough! fuck I HATE IT!

wellcharge 12.08.2009 04:13 PM

you paid $18 by chance? what's that mean? like you were in a store and couldn't pass up the chance to pay full price for something you don't want or what?

Rob Instigator 12.08.2009 04:16 PM

It means I will take a chance on records if the cover art looks interesting, or if I have heard their name mentioned as something interesting. with fleet foxes it was the cover art.
sometimes you go to the record store with $40 to spend, get what you wanted, and fine nothing else you want, so ya give an unknown record a chance.
at least I do.

other record nerds????

wellcharge 12.08.2009 04:17 PM

i haven't bought anything as lame as fleet floxes except in like dollar bins and stuff.i think the name gives you a hint what it would sound like. yeah the cover art is cool though

Rob Instigator 12.08.2009 04:19 PM

I am a huge Pieter Brugel fan.

Niederlandish proverbs is the name of the painting (sp?)

i buy records for the artwork all the time and they usually end up being fantastic. dollar bins are great for this, tons of random obscure shit.

Rob Instigator 12.08.2009 04:20 PM

I figured fleet foxes would sound melodic, but not fucking three-part harmony folk. I forgot that folk has been on hipster jocks for the past few years.

the old shit is the best to find cool stuff like this.

there are MILLIONS of recordings available on vinyl that will never ever find their way to CD or to digital files online
