Got back from hangin' with DR EUGENE FUCKINSON

COol dood. went shoppin'(I bought a raveonettes single) and he got some goods. walked around...went into a crappy bar. Unfortunately we were tethered to the area...but yeh. 'twas awesome.

pot helps...for me.

this is the most likely choice. the only drawback is the enourmous price of it.

though i'm thinking if it's gonna suit my ambient walls of sound properly.

I'm craving french fries. Not fancy french fries either. Real American McDonalds french fries. Hot, salty. FRENCH FRIES!

One of the Advent speakers blew out last weekend. There was a crackle and then the woofer went out. Luckily I have a repair guy nearby. He oohed and ahhed a bit over the speaker. Apparently I have an original set circa 1973-1975, restored a little over the years, but still with the original woofer and tweeter cones. As it turns out, the lead wires to the voice coil were getting old and brittle and something zapped one of them, causing it to break. Very easy fix, thank goodness, and I'll also now have a set of fuses fixed to the speaker wire as a precaution.

Word of advice if you have treasured vintage speakers: get fuses put on those speaker wires!
